“Easily one of, if not the best Salvation Army I have ever walked into. It's so clean and well organized and the prices are CORRECT. I am talking unique color jeans for $6-8, I picked up a vintage looking Dunkin Donut thermos for a out $6. They also promoted their tag color instead of trying to hide it like other branches do. The staff was very nice and helpful. So the nity gritty. The have lots of: clothes, shoes, home goods, linens, books/media. They have some kitchen, electronics, and furniture, art, bags but all very well curated and none of it looked like bad quality, and again very well priced. What they don't have much of is jewelry, special items under glass, rugs, or tools. Still being from the Providence area, I will gladly make the trip down again as it's a much better shopping experience than anything at the local savers or goodwill, and the prices make it worth the cost of gas.”

“The Marshalls was well stocked with good buys. The sales associates were very pleasant and helpful. Stop and shop was busy and a little chaotic, but it is the holiday season .”

“This place was amazing and easy to appreciate if you love yard sales and looking at old treasures. It's nothing fancy but it has insanely cheap prices and the owner Matt was friendly, down to earth, and great to conversate with. I havent walked out of a place with my hands full of items in forever and turn down things I like often because of the price. This thrift store also had a fitting room which was awesome. I was able to try on everything before I bought it and was even more excited to make the purchases knowing I'd love them! I would absolutely say check this place out on a rainy day and support an honest small business.”

“I’m writing a new review for this place since the store made many updates and my old review is now obsolete. In my old review, I mentioned the .99 sale and color tags and how any day of the week much of the store is either 50% off or a dollar. I did say in my review that I hope they never change that... When I learned they got rid of the .99 color and 50% off other colors, I was soooo bummed. To me, that was what separated Salvation from Northern “Thrift” and Savers - that they actually had thrift prices! I went in to Salvation one day since the update and only one color was half off… very different than the past. However, I then learned that on Wednesdays they now have 4 colors off, so they’ve redeemed themselves in my opinion. Plus, the base tags, before any color sale, are still lower than most local “thrift” stores (which have just become for profit and extremely greedy and audacious). I will continue to shop here, I just ask that y’all please continue to price appropriately. I really enjoy Wednesdays, holiday sales, and similar events. I won’t remove any stars because after visiting several times since the update, I can still say the prices are fair. Definitely better than many thrifts. Please continue to stay humble and remember your customer base. thank you :)”

“This location was brought to me as a recommendation as a colleague and I am glad he did. It has so many great finds! Furniture, clothing, instruments, accessories, bags... you name it. If the grand clock I saw for $56 bucks fit in my carryon, you better believe it would have been taken lol. Definitely check them out!

Service was cool - people were nice. Nothing crazy.

I honestly appreciated my experience overall and will visit again.”

“Please check their NMCRS Newport Facebook or Instagram page for opening days. This thrift shop is entirely run by volunteers and they do a fantastic job but sometimes need a break!”
