“Sweet Lorraine's Candy Shoppe truly saved the day for our daughter's 3rd birthday celebration. After an extensive search from Newport to Swansea, they were the only place with chocolate pebbles and stones. Their willingness to provide 3lbs of these treats was greatly appreciated. The surprises continued with delightful finds like the exceptional dark chocolate peanut butter cup and the delicious honey rum bon bon. The nostalgic big jawbreakers even allowed us to share a childhood memory with my brother. With impeccable service, charming atmosphere, and unbeatable prices, we wholeheartedly recommend Sweet Lorraine's - a solid 10/10 experience.”
“A girlfriend of mine was visiting RI for the weekend and couldn’t stop raving about this toffee—We live in New York City and were elated to see that they ship!
I ordered the classic Butter Toffee and a bag of their Pecan Leathernecks.
There was a slight delay in shipping so I called the store to make sure they received my order and the man I spoke to could not have been nicer or more willing to help! He explained the reason for the delay and within hours I received an email saying my order had shipped.
We received the items today and they were kind enough to send us extra treats AND the cost of shipping refunded w/ a handwritten note!! SO unbelievably nice of them!!
Everything we received 1000% lived up to the hype and could not have been more delicious!
We can’t wait to visit this fabulous shoppe in person but until then we will be gifting their treats to all of our friends and family!”
“The owner is a delight and very helpful. I bought some pineapple shaped chocolates for friends coming into town and I know they are going to be the perfect little treat and intro to Newport!The shop is clean, lots of chocolate options and very cute.

“They were hosting a car show in the parking lot. I never knew this was a shop. Thought it was a warehouse. Until I got closer. Yummy treats, sugar-free, and a display filled with all types of chocolate pieces and fudge. Wish they display it better on the outside of the building and get more attention. It's we'll worth the visit.

“I enjoy this store for it wide variety of odds and end, a fun store to bring a kid to if you don't have a lot of money . Also. Great place to buy a kid a present to bring to. Party without breaking the BANK.”

“First off, the customer service is delightful. I wish I got the name of the fabulous worker who gave me great advice on exploring Newport! & The fudge is soo yummy, I got the 6 for $22, to get several flavors to bring home. I only tried one so far, the oreo one and omg it’s so good and so creamy! Will definitely come back next time I’m in town :)”
“If you really want to save money on your food this is the place to go. Many people say stay away because items are outdated, this is deceiving. The dating is past the sell by date buot the use by date. They also have a 200% money back guaranty if the item is bad. The foods are good and the prices are better. The owner is a great guy, very friendly and helpful. Many specials and different items always. The new store is nice and roomy and easy to get around. Go to Family Foods first then the larger main food stores for what you can't get there, your savings will show without having to cut coupons. Since my review was last posted and due to a certain incident happening I find it necessary to add to this review. Yes there there was an incident involving the owner Mike St Pierre at the Stae Capital, however he did publicly apologize for his actions as he can get rambunctious and excitablea at times”
