Avis Car Rental Providence operates one of the world's best-known car rental brands. The staff is excellent, very helpful, and can go above and beyond with amazing service. Experiences report efficient and quick check-in and return processes with clean cars that run well and have no hidden fees. The location is a short walk from the train station and they provide rides to the station. However, sometimes reserved cars are not available, and the office cannot be called directly. Overall, many customers report a great experience and state they will rent from Avis again.

Not bad they are always nice and the cars are always “clean” no issues only downside is they don’t have over night drop off

Rental a nice VW SUB from the Providence, RI Avis counter located downtown. The Avis people were really nice and professional. The car was super clean. Upon my return of the car, the counter attendant even drove me back to the Amtrak station.
I would highly recommend renting from this Avis location.

Very easy pickup and drop off. Good price. Being that this is a smaller location, I believe the negative reviews are likely due to there being a limited amount of vehicles and its basically first come-first serve EVEN if you pay in advance. Luckily I had a good experience.
