worst rental car experience ever. Totally trashy place. The worst happend when I returned the car. When I picked up the car, the tank was not full. I complained and was told I had only to bring it back filled to the same level. After I returned it, almost 100% filled, I was charged 20$ for "fuel services".

I will never rented a car again in this company there services is horrible and don’t treat a customer with respect. That company has not has the service to treat a customer professionally. How is this company growing with bad service of treating a customer with no respect. And the car I rented smell so bad ?This company need to make some changes on giving a customer a place to feel comfortable and welcome environment not feeling uncomfortable I am very upset of how they gave me service very rude.?

Do not do any business with this avis or avis in general, they will pick and choose when to charge your account with no notice as if they own it and over charge you (they charged me 4 times in stand of 1)Blaming it on the "system" but it happens again and againCustomer service is none existing!No one know's what is going on and no one to speak to.You'll be on the phone with your bank for hour's !!!Avis! Get your business under control!! It's theft!

This Budget on Dorance St./ 18 Eddie St. in Providence hasn't changed their sign from Avis yet, but that doesn't really matter, does it? It was a nice and smooth transaction that took 5 minutes.

Car was okay. Windshield film made driving not as safe. Never could clean it off properly. Mentioned it to local Avis personnel. They didn't seem to care. Also no advertisement at train station for Avis

I rented a car from the Dorrance Street location on May 6th for one night. The first car I rented broke down (starter issue), so Avis after hours customer service towed that car and gave me a replacement car which I returned on May 7th, 2023 before their closing time. A customer service representative at the Dorrance location checked the gas in the car and inspected before I left the location. There was no damage to the car.This location is claiming that I damaged their car and have put a claim of almost $4,000 to my insurance for bumper damages.The paperwork they have submitted is inconsistent with what they are claiming. There are many inconsistencies but the big glaring one is that the paperwork shows that the damage is done on 5/10/23 and their paperwork shows I returned the car at 4:51 on 5/7/23. There is a three day gap between when I returned the car and when this supposed damage was done.My car claim insurance claims person and I shared the discrepancies but they are still claiming that I have to prove that I didn't do the damage or Avis will submit this fraudulent and unfounded claim to a collection agency.I have tried calling this office numerous times and I just get sent into the main Avis customer service who keeps telling me to call the Dorrance street location. Once when I did get through, the manager was not in, she only works 9 am- 1 pm so left a message for the manager, June Santaro buts she one will call me back. I feel like I'm in a nightmare. They are committing fraud by blaming me for a damage I did not cause. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS LOCATION.

Conveniently located in downtown Providence. I got a car in great condition.Staff wasn't as friendly as I would have expected, but they were ok, and helpful and that is enough ?I am glad they are located at walking distance from my home.

The car we rented was really dirty inside and out. I had to take it to a car wash and get some window cleaner for the inside. The windows were so bad, night time driving was a challenge. It seemed that the previous renter was a smoker.

Easy location and pick up/drop off. Got a very different car than the options that were provided and I selected, but other than that, good experience. Car was clean and ran smoothly.

We’ve been renting from Avis for over twenty years or so. We’ve been very happy with all our rentals. Overall satisfied we recommend friends and family etc. Try Avis you won’t be disappointed.

Company charged me an entire day for returning the car one hour late. Was told it's "in the fine print" and it clearly is not.. BUYER BEWARE OF HIDDEN FEES!

Impossible to communicate either with the local office in downtown Providence, RI or with the central dispatch. The local office does not respond to phone calls. I called them over a dozen times, over a two-days period because I had left my driver's license at their desk during registration, and wanted to recover it or at least make sure they kept it safely until I returned the car. Impossible to talk to anyone at the central dispatch either - I was switched to an automated machine which rambled on forever, switching me from one option to the next without ever reaching a human being. I finally selected the option "New rental" and I did talk to a human being (and rather quickly, since there is potential money involved) but when I explained the problem they were completely clueless and unhelpful (I tried twice with two different agents). All they could say "sorry to hear that" or "call back the local office later". Service at AVIS is non-existent beyond signing up for renting a car: zero, none, after your rented your car! I wonder what would have happened if I had a road accident? you can't even talk to a human being to explain your problem, let alone solve it.
