The seating could be more comfortable, but they get talent that you don’t see elsewhere and it is a fabulous old theatre that I hope will be around forever.
Welcome to the Uptown Theater, a historic venue at 270 Broadway in Providence, RI. Formerly known as the Columbus Theatre, it has been lovingly restored by new owners Cory Brailsford and David Fiorillo, who are dedicated to honoring its legacy while introducing fresh programming. Originally opened in 1926, the Uptown Theater has a rich history of hosting diverse performances. With exciting renovations underway, we aim to preserve its unique charm and create a vibrant hub for arts and entertainment in the community.
