12 Sanderson Rd, Smithfield“Lovecraft-themed bookstore located in the Arcade in downtown Providence. It’s small, but if you like reading horror stories, want to learn more about Lovecraft, or are looking for a gift for someone who loves the macabre, it has everything you could ask for. In addition to books, they sell posters, postcards, figurines, and more. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and are clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about Lovecraft and horror in general. Cool place to visit, would definitely recommend!”

4 N Main St, Providence“It was just okay. Performers were great and fire was cool, but that was kind of it. A great event if you have good people to bring, but after hearing so many amazing reviews was quite underwhelmed. You should go if it’s convenient, but if it doesn’t line up with your schedule, you’re not missing much.Edit: If I were to add one thing, it would be live music. The music over the speakers was really really loud, which made it difficult to talk to people. I found an area last time with live music and it made it so much better. Upped a star.”
“We had an awesome Holiday party in the hall ot the Cercle Laurier! Eric was an excellent bartender and Paul coordinated to make sure everything was just right for us. We'll definitely be back again! Everyone said it was our best party to date.”

“Can't say enough good things about this place. I slept here as Hasbro only allows one overnight guest at the hospital. They had dinner available. Close to where your kid is in the hospital. Sleeping helps you be available and present for your child during the day. Showers keep you feeling human. RMDH made us have one less worry as our child was struggling for their life. THANKS! Kudos to all the volunteers. It really does make a difference for families.”

And in need of proper assistance.Well the assigned staff councilor had come in an hour earlier just to meet with me. Micheal was very welcoming and understanding to my situation. He was thorough in informing me of what my options were.John the director and some of the other staff members were very warm and hospitable. In my observations..as I toured the facility.. I took notice of much they offer and the things they do.In a few weeks I have to return to see my councillor to see what my prospects are.Knowing these professionals..I'm certain everything's in my favor.”

“Very humid!!! Bring a bottle of water if your going to spectate!Shame on me! I should have known! I brought my boys to a birthday party, it was awesome! The pool is huge, and the kids had a lot of fun! I just wish I had brought a water bottle with me because I must have lost about 30 pounds of water weight just watching the boys swim because of how hot it is in the pool area!I'm definitely thinking about signing up for a family plan for a couple of months. It's a very convenient location!!”
“Attended a corporate event here that included an art making workshop along with a walking art tour. Awesome experience and very educational. Love what this group is doing.”
“Amazing non profit that provides a safe, welcoming space for LGBTQ+ youth. They have several different programs that run throughout the week so there’s something for everyone. Stop & Shop makes periodic donations so there’s something to eat for those who need it. The staff is so warm and welcoming, and the space is surprisingly big and well decorated. This place deserves a lot of support from the Providence community!”
“Hours not accurate on Google. Here's a photo.Bikes are very affordable. $100-700 for normal to high end bikes. Staff is very nice and you can also volunteer here to earn bike parts.”

“The Rhode Island Foundation was organized at the Rhode Island Hospital Trust Co. in June 1916 by a small group of prominent Rhode Islanders. I have been involved in several events sponsored by the Rhode Island Foundation and I believe they do a great job for the state and the local communities. This non profit is committed to strengthening Rhode Island through strategic initiatives in education, health, and economic security, as well as through impact investing, diversity, inclusion, and equity work. The Fund for Rhode Island supports causes and organizations throughout Rhode Island that are deemed to be for the greatest good of the community. This unrestricted fund supports the Foundation's mission to meet the needs of the people of Rhode Island. The Rhode Island Foundation works with generous Rhode Islanders who support not only Fund for Rhode Island, but also establish funds (unrestricted, field of interest, designated, scholarship, donor advised, corporate advised, organizational endowment, supporting organization) with funds established during donors' lifetimes or through planned giving. The Foundation invests in the following four strategic initiatives, with goals for both short-term progress and long term impact:-Educational Success: Improve educational outcomes for all public school students.-Economic Security: Improve Rhode Island's environment for economic growth so all Rhode Islanders can prosper.-Healthy Lives: Improve access to and quality of primary care for all Rhode Islanders.-Inspiring Philanthropy: Increase philanthropy in Rhode Island. In 2021, the donors thoughtfully trusted the Foundation with $98 million in new funds. The investment returns for the year were over 20%, and the endowment now stands at $1.4 billion.Anyone interested in estate planning to benefit the Rhode Island Foundation can contact them directly through their website or by phone.”
“The RI Tree Council’s Tree Steward course is great! I take it every 5 years. I learn more each time. A few days after we completed this year’s course, my husband and I planted 8 trees. We felt confident that we planted them correctly because we learned every step of the process in the course.”

“It was my pleasure to do a henna workshop for the enthusiastic and talented students at Riverzedge Arts. Their staff photographer sent me photos of my class before I even got home, confirming that they had the proper model releases to be able to do so and hadn't taken photos of anyone who didn't want them taken. It was such a wonderful surprise to get such excellent photos. They also sent me home with two tote bags designed and printed in house, one of which all the students in the workshop signed in henna :) What a great experience. Thanks for having me, Riverzedge!”
“Wonderful organization that cares deeply for animals and can help put you in contact with various animal rescue, adoption, and veterinary services in Rhode Island.”

100 Houghton St, Providence“Suddenly you're moving and you know all the locations of Goodwill drop boxes and donation centers in the area! I am so grateful for the work that they do and the fact that they take my donations. I had tons of clothes that I just didn't sort through until my move and we put it all together into a giant pile to take to the donation center. Located near downtown but away from the traffic, this area has a large warehouse where you can drop off your stuff between 10AM and 4PM on weekdays. They are closed on weekends. The drop off area is on the far end of the building and you can pull right up. If the doors are closed, chances are there is no one there at that time. Otherwise, if they are open but you don't see anyone, you can ring the door bell or go to the front desk. They'll take most donations except for fishtanks. People are polite and helpful even though I'm sure they are stretched thin with all the stuff they have to sort through. I'm thankful, though, that they are there so that my stuff can be used to help others!”

235 Promenade St Suite 600, Providence“I can't really rate the org I have no clue. But I def fell prey also to a very charismatic street team at grand central and before I know it I'm handing off my credit card to two random girls. I got on the train ride home like "wait what just happened?" It didn't feel entirely consensual and you do feel sort of hustled after. After which I forgot about it told myself it's just 35 dollars, maybe I'm actually helping someone etc. I donated monthly for over two years. Each time I thought to cancel it was such a process if give up. Maybe that's that point. Thank God for the person here who added the number. That was super helpful I called and canceled in minutes. The 4 stars is really because I had to choose something and I've worked for non profits before and have no interest to ruin a reputation unless I have some facts. Hopefully that can continue to do whatever good work they say they are. I just personally wasn't a fan of the approach (it works tho!) And needed to cancel the monthly charge. Good luck”
“Trying to do a hike a day during the pandemic. Cheaper than 24-hour therapy. This Sunday we also needed books and groceries. This hike was perfect: did all the trails, took about 1.25 hours. Up and down. You always heard traffic ... but it couldn't get you. Encountered a half-dozen others, everyone masked. Muddy in spots because of rain ... but we wore boots. Then we headed over to the mall you can see next door: Barnes & Noble + Dave's, one of the best food emporiums we know (and we know the outdoor markets of France intimately). A good day. Sanitized our hands three times.”
