“I had called one day to ask how late they would be open. Later that day I realized Pete had left a voicemail explaining Go around there would be traffic on the way to the shop so I would have to follow a detour. Super helpful; I appreciated it so much.”
“Another great experience with Steve LeMay. We’ve purchased a variety of unique items from him over the years and can’t recommend him enough. Be sure to check him out when you’re in Newport.”

“Take a quick, lovely stroll away from Thames Street to visit this shop. It's beautifully curated with unique, charming treasures. The owner was a delightful woman who was kind enough to share her time & insights about Newport with me. On the way back to Thames Street peek inside the Trinity Church on Queen Anne Sq. (Estd. 1698). Gorgeous stained glass & Georgian architecture.”
“Absolutely fantastic experience with this shop that is truly in a league of its own. A world class selection of some of the most amazing prints and antique collectibles you will ever encounter. Personally this was a must see for me and I believe anyone in Newport. With the museum quality pieces there is no reason not to stop in. The lovely owners were helpful and informative and truly know their works. This shop was a highlight of my visit and something I can’t wait to come back and visit!”

“My mom is in town visiting from Colorado and one of our favorite things to do together is go antiquing. Today we found Cindy Lee’s antique shop and met Cindy and Sue and had a blast chatting with them. They spoke about their love for animals, antiques and the gorgeous plants she grows. They use antique’s to house the plants everything was really cool. I found two old bottles that I love and Cindy even gave me a plant clipping to propagate in the old bottle!!! Can’t wait to come back, you should check this place out! Such great people!!!”
“William Vareika Fine Arts is one of my favorite stops in Newport. It’s like a mini art museum of so many wonderful, significant artists of the past, including some extra sketches and memorabilia of William Trost Richards, and even some old maps and furniture. A must see for any art appreciator!”

“Fun place to browse. They have a lot of work my Rhode Island artists including some work I recognized from a painter in Providence and a guy in Wayland Square that makes elaborate leather bounded journals. They also had some jewelry and interesting assortments of rocks like geodes and crystals. Intriguing design elements for sale too like metal grates and lattices. Unfortunately they close at 5 and we came in right at closing so didn't have much time to look around. Would be a good spot for gifts although the prices are a bit high for many items.”
“Aardvark Antiques is a must-visit! I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen so many incredible large pieces in one place. When I walked into the back/side room with all the statues, I was blown away—it felt like I had been transported back to Europe with the beauty of that space. The selection is stunning, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality of items they have. Definitely worth stopping by if you're looking for unique and impressive antiques!”

“Tara was great. I called and she suggested that I come down with the items I had. She explained everything about the coins and was very professional about explaining all about the coins. What the values of them were and shared her knowledge about what I should be looking for. I would recommend stopping in if you have any questions. She gained a customer today.”
“This place is so cool, they have so many unique and beautiful things and something to fit every budget. My son is a Dino enthusiast, he loves looking at the fossils. The owner is so cool and knowledgeable.”
“Great selection of tableware, cozy wraps and socks, jewelry (some vintage), unusual gifts. Well curated selections. Wonderful infant/toddler nook. Friendly staff. Best gift wrapping!”
“Great little shop with something nautical for every sea cowboy/girl or just mariner out there. From megladon teeth to carved knives, whale teeth and pipes, there’s truly something for everyone- even if it’s just a story of seeing a wooly mammoth tusk!”
“Generally not my style of decor but definitely worth a look. Two pretty large rooms with consignment goods. I purchased a retro rolling chair. Home decor and furniture. Polite and friendly shopkeeper.”

“Such an amazing spot! Loads of lovely vintage finds and clothing. I picked up a white asian robe, which unfortunately had damage I did not notice in store. I believe I can fix it myself so it’s no problem. I will be back as soon as I can! I know I’ve found a favorite local shop. ❤️”

“Big collection of rare old stuff and reasonably priced too. Both guys were very nice and helpful. They also do repairs here for old things which is a plus. Always getting new things in stock as well.”
“A truly amazing shop. It has more beautiful artifacts than most museums. The proprietors are knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed our visit to the Drawing Room.”
“During our wait for a nearby restaurant reservation, my boyfriend and I decided to visit this charming antique shop. To our delight, we discovered a treasure trove of beautiful and unique pieces. Among our purchases were a delicate sailboat statue that added a touch of nautical elegance to our home and a stunning depiction of knights jousting that instantly became the centerpiece of our collection. We were thoroughly impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of the items in the shop. If you're in the area, I highly recommend paying a visit to this wonderful antique shop!”
