Stefan very helpful in getting my dad settled after my mom's passing. He was very patient and willing to explain things as he went through the next necessary paperwork. Easy process to move things as we needed.

Don't bother with the exterior ATM. Doesn't work if you don't have an account here. I have a receipt for a withdrawal from my online account WITH NO MONEY! No help from the staff. Sorry... Grr

My family and I have had accounts here with Bank Newport since the beginning of time... Sadly, the vibe that they now set off to their customers is not good. They have changed to an entirely different level. From no longer having an actual bank teller at the drive up (you do everything through the ATM and a video pops up with someone sitting in a remote location). To me that is VERY impersonal. You no longer feel like a "customer" instead it's more like just a "number". They no longer know you by name, or by face. You have to always stick your license in the ATM for them to scan after inserting your debit card. Just too much. It takes 10x longer to boot! Plus, I will add that overall, their bank tellers have horrible personalities. Not at all friendly, and usually have a puss on their faces. This past weekend we opened new accounts elsewhere, and once the Direct Deposits start hitting the new bank, we will be closing our accounts here. Sometimes extreme change is NOT A GOOD THING!

I came to Bank Newport because I wanted a local bank for my business. But the truth is this bank is soo slow...at everything. I have other accounts at other "bigger" banks and the truth is Bank Newport's Electronic Banking is light years BEHIND. After business hours even their electronic banking will not process most transactions. You can do POS but not deposits or transfers electronically. At this Bank business closes when the bank does. Just as soon as all of my payments go through for this month I will have no choice but to close this account. If you want to keep your money in a savings account you should go here. But if you have a business and go non stop, seek a more modern bank.
