“The Eagle's Nest Gallery is hands down the best place to find one of a kind items for gifts, clothing & accent pieces for your home. The employees are helpful, great selection. Fun place to shop!”
“This store is worth visiting. Better than average to decent quality. I was actually surprised and made purchases. The staff here is fantastic and very considerate and educated.”
“What a cute and funky variety of goods! From penny candy to candles to cards to incense to art, they have a bit of everything you may want for yourself or a gift for a friend.”
“Mystic village is an all year round local attraction. It is a densely packed local and other specialities for home, kitchen, general, and abundant food choices which are pretty unique and not run of the mill types. Visiting here and supporting these local businesses is vital not just for the local economy but also to support and boost great cultural and historical experiences. Night visit around Christmas is particularly magical as the whole village is artfully decorated and also offers unique Christmas traditions. Bestemors always surprises you with their latest and routine collection on Scandinavian artifacts, as well as geo-culturally unique Nordic things. Their price range is enormous with budgets fitting everyone. BTW, you can get traditional Scandinavian sweaters, caps, scarves etc here for a very affordable price. Strongly recommended to visit for even visitors from other neighbor states like MA, NJ, NY, RI, etc.”
“We ducked in here today 2 minutes after parking in the nearby free lot. Half an hour later we left, $115 dollars lighter and weighed down with some amazingly unique garden decorations. The shop has a lot of stuff for just about every taste, and the one that appealed most to me and my wife was their selection of works of art that are cleverly created to balance one piece of the work on another. The shop owner was friendly and helpful and explained some of the details about each piece that we ended up purchasing. I gotta say, I've rarely been happier about laying down $100+ for garden decor! Good stuff!!??”
“This is a cool, little nostalgic gift shop. Lots of Harry Potter stuff along with many other great items. They have a great little coffee shop inside that is loaded with delicious options.”
“The store is lovely. A wondrous bazaar of unique selected pieces to enhance any home needing a masterful touch. The one of kind framed Parisian prints are incredible- I bought 3 of two pairs, which the fabulous owner allowed, and shipped to my home packaged beautifully in white & blue ribbon. So charming! Thank you.-L Knyper”
“I had a really bad day before I entered this store of the funniest stuff ever. Now my day is lit! I also bought some laugh material for later. And some badges, pins, coloring books. Loved shopping here!”
“Tom Uncle is really jolly and happy guy (certainty,he'll make your day).
We went there 1st time today, but the way He talked and gave information about the process of maple syrup was fabulous. Me and my kids really enjoyed the syrup tour.
Quality is 5/5
Price 5/5
Knowledge or explanation of process 5/5.
Please try maple cream 5/5. Outstanding, mind-blowing.
Neat and clean shop.”

“First time visiting Nest and was thrilled to find a hidden gem of a gift store. Candles, jewelry for every taste, unique decor items, handbags and clothing. The store smells so nice (from those candles and diffusers) and the atmosphere is very inviting. It appears they put out new inventory all the time. Worth a visit!”

“Nice spot for all things anime and manga, They have a good mix of items to select from. The interior is pretty cool and had life size statues of some classic characters. They have a food section with everything from Japanese ice cream, to Udon noodles, and snacks. There's even a small corner arcade with free, playable, old school games.”
“I highly recommend checking out Mystic Aquarium. Prices are lower if you purchase tickets in advance than on the day of visit. The online system is easy to use, but there are also kiosks at Mystic Aquarium to purchase your tickets. Mystic Aquarium has plenty of parking and it is free. It is right next to Olde Mistick Village. They have a huge variety of animals and exhibits, but beluga whales caught my attention. They are interesting animals and I could watch them all day. We spent a few hours exploring the whole aquarium and saw a sea lion show.”
“We wandered in on our trip to the Shoppes of Old Mystic and LOVE this place. They had the coolest, most unique items for dog and cat lovers and even for my little whale loving nephew, there was a SUPER COOL book. I highly recommend this store if you have little ones to keep entertained while on vacation. For babies and toddlers, there are adorable finger puppet card board books in the back, little ones from the ages of 3-10 would like all of the plastic toy animals, and the plush stuffed animals of EVERY kind. I highly recommend this and several other shoppes in Old Mystic.”
“This is my husband's and son's favorite bookstore. When we visit Mystic they actually go every day! They have all kinds of good reads for every interest. Recently, it was expanded to include two large rooms. The front room features new releases and popular, classic novels among others. The room proceeding it features academic subjects such as politics, history, economics, etc. The atmosphere provides a sense of calm, which coincides nicely with the already relaxed atmosphere of Mystic. Before the store itself is a statue of a whale, a hallmark that can be found throughout Connecticut, just as shell statues can be found throughout New Jersey. With beautiful editions of books of every variety, you will not be disappointed!”
“I was on my way to MA and stopped in this general store. I'm so glad I did. I picked up tons of food items to sample when I get back home. I loved the decor and the staff was friendly. I'll be back.”
“The staff was friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home as soon as I walked in. They were knowledgeable about the products and eager to assist with any questions I had.
While browsing, I came across a lovely key chain featuring my family's coat of arms. The quality was impressive, and it felt like a special connection to my heritage. The shop had a wide selection of unique items, all beautifully crafted and distinctly Irish. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for authentic Irish gifts or a piece of their heritage.”

“Wonderful shop, very cute and fun gifts, retro toys, puzzles, socks, knee dohs, squishies and more! Myself, a millennial along with a 9 year old spent maybe an hour here and we had a blast checking everything out, reminiscing on older toys and candies from childhood. The owner was lovely, helpful, and very kind!”
