Animal Arts Pro Dog Groom
397 Cass Ave, WoonsocketFantastic experience! Our vet couldn't handle trimming the nails of our 100 lb pit mix, said he was 'a lot of dog' - brought him here and he (the dog) walked out with a fresh pet-icure! Highly recommend these ladies!

Thai Garden
280 Main Street, WoonsocketChicken pad Thai was solid; ginger fish dish leaned so heavy on the ginger that the rest of the dish was a bit overwhelmed. Vegetable tempura was unlike any we’ve had; the batter coating was thick with a heavy flour presence. Good prices; very friendly service.

Ciro's Tavern, Brunch & Patio
42 Cherry Street, WoonsocketMy date and I had a $100 Visa gift card. They said they do not accept it, yet it was a Visa card…when I balked and said you say you accept Visa, it’s what I have to pay, they ran it then they placed a 20 percent tip hold on the majority of the bill, on the card they were not supposed to take the hold money unless i authorized it, which I did not….I actually gave the girl a 17 dollar tip cash on the eighty dollar bill a 20 percent tip.. then they took 22 more From the gift card, which I did not authorize….so they seem to think a 39 dollar tip was justified for an 80 dollar order. Or they just did not know how to handle that Visa card. Either way, it was annoying. I didn’t overly care about the money, staff was very nice, but I would have liked them to understand all forms of payment better.
The waitress also bought me chicken tips, when I clearly had ordered steak tips, but did give us two pieces of cake.thank you!
The food was decent, but I was disappointed they messed up my order… the beers were overpriced. 88 dollars for 2 entrees,a small salad, and three beers…plus a 39 dollar tip. you would have to decide if it is worth that in today’s economy….food prices are out of hand…and tipping expectations are ridiculous.
The meal was decent, but I could make three similar meals for the price, at home. And my date is a better cook. None of this is Ciros fault though.
As far as the gift card, I can’t fault them too much, the card was stupid placing a hold in the first place…. Most people would rather tip in cash, but my boss gave me the card. That gift card company is a bunch of idiots.
All in all it was a very nice lunch, with good food, good portions, and pleasant staff, but expect to spend 40 to 69 dollars a person, not the 20 to 30 listed on Google, if you order a regular meal

Empire Buffet
876 Diamond Hill Road, WoonsocketA really solid old-school Chinese buffet that stays true to its roots and puts out good food. We were passing by and were surprised to find this in Rhode Island of all places. It's not like all these huge all-in-one Chinese, Japanese, Mongolian etc buffets which are now the norm, serving up quantity over quality. We went on a random weeknight and I had more seafood options than what the fancier places serve on the weekends at a higher price. Little neck clams, cherry stone clams, whole crabs, crawfish, 2 different shrimp dishes. Can't ask for more. Everything was tasty and there was a wide variety of ice cream for the kids. The employees were very attentive and friendly as well.

Coffee Connection Woonsocket
100 Bernon Street, WoonsocketOrdered a iced chai unfortunately it was too thick and super sweet it was almost like a frozen dessert drink. Not at all the consistency of a iced vanilla chai should be.
This has happened to me twice. Perhaps they are using a bad recipe or something.
Usually they have great drinks and food so hopefully they'll figure out the issue with the iced vanilla chai. Great place with good service

Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary
266 Mendon Rd, WoonsocketThe Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary is just that, when you walk in you'll know why. So many cats and kittens are playing throughout the area, and it's a large area. Some are roaming free (mind the door), others are in cages with open doors. On my visit there were pairs and singles available. I was introduced to two beautiful and well-mannered cats. Also, I was there at feeding time so all the residents were very happy. I was able to sit with each cat if I opted to, so I did and made my choice. From there the difficult part was over. A pleasant staff member, the same who took my call and warmly greeted me on arrival gave me the short paper work to fill out and I was on my way. The cats are fully prepared for adoption when you receive them, in my case even nutered with all the shots and check ups. Over all I must say that I would highly recommend Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary to anybody looking for their new feline friend. They also have a weekend yard sale to raise funds to support the sanctuary. I can't wait to add a photo ?
