“While traveling from coast to coast I experienced some car troubles a few hours before I reached Saskatoon .I googled vw / import repair shops and read some reviews, I was still 5 hours from Saskatoon heading westward.I called this shop, spoke w a fella named Neil, and based on our conversation, I immediately knew that I needed to press on and make it to Saskatoon.I dropped my car off to them the following morning after arriving VERY late to a hotel near them in the downtown.Despite them having a very full schedule, they not only were able to assess my cars issues, but were able to source some quality replacement parts ( new and used as there was more than one issue) and had me up and running THE SAME DAY !!!!I could not possibly say enough great things about my experience here, I was treated like a regular customer even tho I had never been there before.Two thumbs WAAYY UP !!!!Bug thanks to Neil and his shop for looking after me and treating me soo well !!!”

“I brought my car in to get my windshield replaced and some rust repaired, and paint chips touched up on my 2009 vw tiguan. Zx automotive were soo great to work with and customer service was unbelievable. They gave me a quote and a time frame they'd have it done in and stayed true to both, with no additional costs or surprises. When I came to pick it up, they pointed out a tiny hair that was on the paint and offered to touch it up, free of charge to me.A few weeks later I brought it back to do the touch up and asked they fix my rear reverse light as well. When the touch up became a bigger job than intended, they carried on without charging me more. And when the light became a bigger job, again they didn't charge me more but rather stayed true to their promise to replace it for free because they had forgotten earlier. They also offered to drive me home when I dropped off my vehicle.The colour match was perfect, and the final product was better than i could have asked for.And! They detailed my car inside every time I brought it in, even though they didn't do any work inside my vehicle!These guys are honest guys, and a pleasure to do business with. Prices are reasonable, and customer service is incredible. I will gladly do business here again and would highly recommend!”

“I fixed my car's power string pressure hose today. I should have known there was a problem and made the repair right away. And I had to search for such a place for several days. Then I found tried based on their great google reviews. Daren said he would fix it by today and I wanted to believe it. But vehicle was ready before scheduled time. This was my first time at 78 Auto & Tire. I rarely post reviews on Google, but I thought my experience was worth sharing. I have a 2008 Dodge and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on my old car. Cost was as predicted. Can’t say how much I appreciate the service . Most importantly, honest estimates about repairs needing to be done. Thanks, Maurice and staff!Update ( Jan. 2024)My baby was hurting. 320k on SOHC 4.0L 9.75:1 V6. I bought it at 51k. The 270k I drove it were 80% highway. Always full synthetic oil. Developed an intermittent miss at about 268k. After diagnosis, it was a top end issue Due to finances, I put another 52k on it before replacing the engine with new, not rebuilt. When the tech pulled out the original motor, he found major top end issues. 2 cylinders with low (not 0) compression, one cam lobe had a nasty score on it, but it still ran like a champ on the highway for the last 52k. Kudos to Ford/Mazda for a bullet proof V6.When I finally had time to get it to Maurice's, Denin gave me 2 estimates. The new engine was almost $3,000.00 less than a rebuilt. No brainer. New engine comes with 3 year, 100,000k warranty.Rudy did a fantastic job on the swap, even did a couple extra minor repairs. (I thought I had a clutch problem, but just a pilot bearing.) I've taken both my vehicles to Maurice's since I found his shop. I have known him personally for over 40 years and his shop's work is beyond reproach.Thanks to Maurice, Denin, Rudy and all the staff for a low stress experience, even though it was almost $11K!”
