Shoe Stores
Higher Ground is a great outdoor shop located close to downtown Beaufort, on the way to Lady’s Island. It is a very welcoming store with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The store is well stocked with everything needed for outdoor water adventures, offering a wide variety of kayaks, Hobie kayaks and all the attachments, paddle boards, activewear, name beach and casual southern clothing wear, sunglasses, and equipment. They provide great service and quality products, with a cool inventory. The kayaks and paddles are in good condition. The business also offers fun guided kayak trips with several different routes, including loops past the downtown swing bridge, with staff giving helpful recommendations. They allow customers to test kayaks in the river before purchasing. There is no other store in town that provides this quality, making it a highly recommended go-to place for a great outdoor experience.
