“I went to a local BB&T bank at (2 Burnt Church Rd, Bluffton, SC 29910) and asked for a roll of quarters in exchange for my $10 bill. The lady behind the glass in the drive through said “are you a customer” I said “no, we are from out of state and don’t have a bank nearby to go to.” The lady said “Yeah, we don’t deal with customers request unless they are banking with us.” I then proceeded to explain that “the target would not give me quarters, the gas station would not give me quarters, the hotel we are staying at would not give me quarters and we needed to wash our clothes, we don’t have a local bank anywhere near by to go to.” The lady said “yeah there is nothing I can do unless you are a customer banking with us.”I then drove off and went to this United Community bank at (52 Burnt Church Rd, Bluffton, SC 29910) and walked in and the lady said hi welcome, how can I help you. I politely asked for a roll of quarters, making small talk about how hot it was that day. The lady said absolutely and handed me a roll of quarters for my ten-dollar bill. Beyond glad to finally find some good customer service. Thanks for making great customer service your top priority.”

Phil helped me transition financial issues immediately after my mother’s passing. Truist was my mom’s bank, not mine. After experiencing Phil’s excellent, responsive customer service and expertise, we did not hesitate to make the switch from Wells Fargo to Truist. The comparison was disturbing & shocking, considering we have been with Wells Fargo for more than 25 years. In fair review, not all branches give the same “outstanding”service. In my personal experience, Phil Weitz made a significant difference! He deserves far more recognition than I can express here. During the unsettling time of my mom’s passing Phil, with his sensitive humor, helped stop the tears so I could talk. He called several family members to coordinate necessities. He treated each one with the same sincere concern. He spoke with me practically daily as we made progress with timely transitions. He immediately recognized me when I entered the branch. He NEVER pressured me to make any changes and NEVER made me feel rushed. “BOA is always convenient. They offer 24 hr ATM service from both walk-up and Drive-in. Their locations are always well lit and provide surveillance cameras for the protection of its customers. They strive to make every experience with them a good one, even when I may be dissatisfied by something. I recommend that everyone at least try them. I'm aware that due to the many different banking experiences that someone may have and their personal banking needs, that BOA may not be the best fit.
