“I want to reassure anyone considering Truist to not hesitate to proceed. The Burnt Church Rd. branch, in Bluffton, SC, is near to my heart. Especially, Phil Weitz, Senior Relationsip Banker! Phil helped me transition financial issues immediately after my mother’s passing. Truist was my mom’s bank, not mine. After experiencing Phil’s excellent, responsive customer service and expertise, we did not hesitate to make the switch from Wells Fargo to Truist. The comparison was disturbing & shocking, considering we have been with Wells Fargo for more than 25 years. In fair review, not all branches give the same “outstanding”service. In my personal experience, Phil Weitz made a significant difference! He deserves far more recognition than I can express here. During the unsettling time of my mom’s passing Phil, with his sensitive humor, helped stop the tears so I could talk. He called several family members to coordinate necessities. He treated each one with the same sincere concern. He spoke with me practically daily as we made progress with timely transitions. He immediately recognized me when I entered the branch. He NEVER pressured me to make any changes and NEVER made me feel rushed. Without question, deserves “BEST BANKER ON THE PLANET” award!I should also add, Truist rates are worth your time and attention inquiring about!”

“We’ve been members with CPM for almost 5 years, however this is the first time we’ve borrowed from them. I applied online but needed to go to the branch to complete the application, our credit isn’t the best, however CPM was able to prequalify us at a rate 10% lower than the dealership was offering us.

Now here’s the kicker—we originally financed with the dealership a week prior to our CPM appointment, we took our new car in for an owed service at the dealership, and came to our bank appointment while we waited, planning to immediately refinance. Jason, the Branch Manager at Bluffton, was our associate, he got all of our information and sent our application out for processing by the main office, and told us that he should have an answer by end of day, though we would likely have to wait for our original loan to finalize with title paperwork and payoff, etc. which was expected. We left, and headed back to the dealership, 2 hours later, when they sprung on us that they had pulled our deal, and the original bank actually wasn’t funding the sale. We had already signed paperwork, created the online account, and had been driving this car for a week at this point, with NO word from the dealership regarding any issues. They insisted that they needed money down, then found a different lender, who insisted on money down as well, and then came back again to tell us that actually the “juice isn’t worth the squeeze” and they would drive me home and were keeping the car. Um—what?! I had sold my other vehicle a week ago after supposedly buying the new one, and with 2 young children, that was NOT going to work.

Well, dealership issues aside, we wanted and needed this car now, and we immediately called Jason, told him what was going on and that we needed to switch to a new vehicle purchase rather than a refinance, and hopefully ASAP. Jason scrambled and worked his tail off to get us pre-approved, secure us our auto loan, squeeze us in to sign paperwork, and walk out of the bank with a check in hand for the dealership all in the same day. All with a shorter term, lower payment, and better rate than anyone else was able to offer, alongside an extended warranty (we bought a used minivan, felt we needed the extra protection).

I am SO THANKFUL for Jason’s FANTASTIC work and service, alongside his positive attitude and friendliness. This experience alone will keep us remaining members of CPM, and eager to return for any future needs as we prepare for a mortgage, and more.

I also would like to add, that we were in a week prior to this visit but didn’t have our social security cards on us so had to return, but worked with Bonnie on that day, who was just as friendly and helpful to us. The ladies at the teller desks were also friendly and accommodating, as we had our 3 and 1 year old with us and they were offering them fun goodies while we waited.”

“After reading some of the NEGATIVE reviews I've concluded the fault most often lies with the customer. I've banked here for eight years and have never had a bad experience. I rarely have to wait long even if I'm the sixth or seventh customer in line. Often I've been in without another customer and have the pleasure of being greeted immediately. The latest was this week and Vanessa greeted so quickly that I had to look around to see who it was. I've read reviews in a number of states and many get unfair reviews so incoming customers ,consider the source .”

He not only knew the process soup to nuts, he also had to help a teller with locating a stamp for a check. He did it ALL Very good experience at my local BofA.”
