I have tried working with their corporate customer support several times and they were terrible. BUT...I called Terri Riser at the Blythewood Branch to solve my issues with a stolen credit card and she was fantastic. It's amazing how much of a difference it is between local customer service and regional/national/corporate call centers.

I have had checking and savings accounts with First Citizens for over 25 yrs. also been a victim of identity fraud. First Citizens folks worked with me and saved me a lot of headaches through the whole process. Traci and many of the other bank employees over the years have treated me with kindness and professionalism. I would suggest that customers take the time and not go through the drive and go in the lobby for service and get to know your first citizens bank employees and build a relationship- as for me it sure pays dividends if any issues that may come up.

So,because i dont have an account with this "bank", i cant get a cash advance from my MC or Visa?...isn't this a simple financial transaction that shouldn't require me to have an account with FCB? Considered coming back to this "bank" because of its convenience to my home but...No doubt why i closed my accounts with this "bank" a few years ago and went to a Credit Union. DONT BELIEVE THE PHONY COMMERCIALS ABOUT HOW WONDERFUL THIS "BANK" IS.If there was. 0 star rating, that would be too much for this "bank".

I needed both a Notary Public stamp and a Medallion STAMP (Securities Transfer Agent Medallion Program) on a somewhat complicated financial document. The document needed several signatures by myself and my wife. The bank's Financial Sales Manager, Ms. Erica Jackson, politely greeted us (we were drop-ins) and proceeded to carefully examine all pages of the multi-page document to insure all needed signatures were collected, notarized and properly validated. She was ably assisted by Terri J. Riser, Notary Public. The document was competently finished in a few minutes. There was no charge as we were First Citizens account holders. We were very pleased with the professional, courteous, and competent service by Ms. Jackson and Ms. Riser at the FCB Branch at 201 Blythewood Road.

This bank will make errors with your balance and does not make transactions in proper order. The employees are rude. Horrible bank.

Horrible place to do business. Much better local banks around the area.

Antonio is very unprofessional. The bank should consider firing him immediately.

Antonio is very rude. Go to any other bank in the area besides this one.

The absolute worst bank there is anywhere in the state! You would be better off keeping your money buried in mason jars. This branch in particular is down right horrible. They make an error which is easy to see it was their mistake and they will not own up to it was told "it's your problem not ours" all the are interested in is hitting your account with endless fees. We will be closing out the last of our accounts this week and will NEVER deal with First Citizens back in any way ever again. If you are looking for a bank that knows their customers and cares about them First Citizens is not the one! If I could give it zero stars I would giving 1 because it's the least I can on Google.

I've been banking with First Citizen since the early 90(s) and have never had any problems, bad vibes or any unprofessional assistance. First Citizen is the only bank I would use. They might not be perfect or get it right the first time but they will not stop until you are completely satisfied! Timothy Nelson, Blythewood, SC 29016

I don't understand how you have 5 tellers behind the counter and 5 customers in line but yet only one 1 teller is assisting customers. I understand I came in at 4:45 but the bank is open untill 5:00, that means you assist customers untill 5:00. I waited over 10 minutes and there were still 3 people behind me. Count your drawers and complete you deposits etc. after you have assisted customers...that's customer service in it's most basic form. Very dissapointed in my experience today.

Seemed like a good bank at first. People were very helpful. I had automatic ACH's come out of my account and they would decline if there was no money in there and charge you $36. The company keep putting it through and I ended up getting over 200 in NSF charges. I use another bank and they let the transactions go through and you are responsible to go up there and put the money in before the close of the business day and there is no NSF fee. However that is not the case here every time an ACH comes through and theres no money no matter how many times it is put through you get charged. They also don't do courtesy credits. Its also the holidays and they still won't budge on the refund of the fees. I wouldn't bank here!
