Blue Bicycle Books is a pleasant, quirky, and cute locally owned independent bookstore located on King Street, just north of Marion Square. It offers a great mix of new, used, collectible, and rare tomes, with used books in excellent condition. The store is not huge but is extremely well organized, clean, and neatly signed, with clearly labeled rooms and shelves. It features a main entry room with Charleston-related books, a long hallway, and several smaller rooms focusing on a variety of topics, including an adorable and excellent children's section. The shop promotes community partnerships, hosts literary and author events, and provides a personalized experience. It is certainly a pleasure to visit and well worth a stop.
