Founded in 2007, the Charleston Parks Conservancy unites local resources, leverages support and organizes volunteers to be stewards of Charleston’s urban parks. The Charleston Parks Conservancy believes that parks contribute to a higher quality of life, and better parks build stronger communities.

I love community-based work of this organization so much that I joined the staff in May 2020. In the midst of a global pandemic, this organizations’ mission of connecting the community to our parks and open spaces has never been more important, or as well recognized.
