“If you want to get a nice souvenir for someone and support the lovely city of Charleston, this is the place to do it! I bought a Brackish bracelet for my wife here and she liked how unique it was. You can't get something like this anywhere else. The bracelet I chose was exclusively made for Preservation Society of Charleston. If I'm ever back here, I'll probably have to pick up one of the awesome Brackish bowties or other fun item here.”

“We stayed at Ronald McDonald house back in 2019 when our Marlee was born and was very sick to the extent of being on ECMO. RMHC made it possible for us to stay with our baby the entire 3 months she was in NICU. They are a true blessing. Our Marlee is a thriving child now and turns the big 4 this weekend. Thank you RMHC!!! You will forever live in my heart!”

“Amazing stories and adventures with club members. If you have a model train that still works. Come by and fill out their member application so you get a chance to use your train on their model railroad track. I will come back always.”

“I had an awesome experience with PetHelpers. I fell in love with their shy brown ticked tabby Felix and he’s an amazing friend. At first he was shy as he’d been at PetHelpers for a long time. The staff did everything to help him get acquainted with me including giving me treats to give him. They had a difficult time getting him in a crate as he was so shy but they found a way and made it possible for me to take him home. Now, after a month, he’s best friends with my resident cat and always wants cuddle time with his human. I’m so grateful they made our friendship possible and hooked me up with the coolest cat ever.”

“I could not have gone through the post -stem cell transplant procedure without the dedication of the team at Hope Lodge in Charleston in December 2021-February 14,2022. They made sure that I was comfortable, had loving care for each patient, went beyond what most people would do. I consider them as family, not just friends. Thankful for each and every one.”

“Be careful who you choose to partner with Habitat in terms of moving and donating your furniture. I was misled by someone at a Habitat ReStore into thinking i had to pay quite a bit for furniture removal. Around $300. Another person later on told me this was not the case. As it was, I hired the company that the original Habitat person suggested. ReSupply. ReSupply charged me a reservation fee and then $434 to remove 5 pieces of furniture and donate it to Habitat for Humanity. The mover used stairs, which cost more than using the elevator because it took longer. I asked for a partial refund from ReSupply, even $50 would have helped. They said no, basically, "We dont care if you give us a bad review." Just be sure you do not use ReSupply if you donate things to Habitat. There are plenty of other movers/donators.”

“Had a fantastic experience at this laundromat! Needed to do a load after some issues with the shared laundry at our apartment, and it was great. The prices were cheaper than my apartment, and the people were friendly. Cleaned my clothes well and dried well too!”

“I am 80 years old and I toured Neighborhood House with Sister Agatha who taught me at Cathedral Grammar School on Queen St. I saw a poor infant sleeping in the top drawer of a chest The family could not afford anything for the infant.Since that time I have given money and clothes to help the poor. Neighborhood House serves the poor and does so in a humble fashion.”

“KT M how ironic no real id or name so you can freely go around pushing your negative agenda and viewpoints when things don't go your way. Read the bible there is only one creator. Also these people are helping thousands of local families every year. They do wonderful things but I am certain there is no given that everybody gets the help. I am very certain that they don't judge people on anything other than to make sure there is a real need and that the income and ability or resources have been tapped out by the entity coming in looking for help. I think many Americans all over our great country are sick and tired of certain groups using what platform they may have to beat and bash on good people doing great things in their community. I am a pre senior citizen looking for help with my water bill and have been calling for weeks and haven't even received a return phone call. I know it's nobody's fault and that it only takes once to get thru when they have funds and people to help me. I certainly don't blame these people. It's my problem that I need to find a way out of. SMH PEOPLE NEED TO STOP BLAMMING OTHERS FOR THERE OWN ISSUES!! BE BETTER LOOK IN THE MIRROR”
