“Update: we adopted our first cat back in August and I could not have asked for a better cat to join our family! She is absolutely amazing!

This is a wonderful place! I have yet to adopt from here but I help foster from time to time when I can. Donate! Volunteer! Foster! Rescue! Adopt! Save a life.”

“What a lifesaver Hope Lodge was for my son and I. The staff was very friendly and personable. After my sons Bone Marrow Transplant we were there for two weeks. Nothing but good things to say about them. I don't know how we would have been able to afford staying in Charleston. They care about the people staying there. God bless Hope Lodge.”

“I highly recommend!!! Friendly all around staff, nice maintenance, good food & all of the above. Anything you possibly need, they provide it…My daughter Amaya just had heart surgery on the 21st of October 2024 and everything went successful. The staff said a prayer for her before she went in so that was real amazing. God bless everyone, the mothers, fathers, and the kids. Thank you Ronald MCDONALD”

“This is a thoughtfully curated emporium of clever items and compelling books. The staff are welcoming and very informative. Pleasant experiences in shops like these expose the shortcomings of online shopping.”

“I am 80 years old and I toured Neighborhood House with Sister Agatha who taught me at Cathedral Grammar School on Queen St. I saw a poor infant sleeping in the top drawer of a chest The family could not afford anything for the infant.Since that time I have given money and clothes to help the poor. Neighborhood House serves the poor and does so in a humble fashion.”

“This is such a beautiful place that is different that day than it is at night of course but both times have their own beauty and you would do yourself a favor to go there at both times dark and light peace”

“I had the pleasure and enjoyment of helping with a community service project through my Publix work family. It was in coordination with the Charleston Parks Conservancy ❣
What a wonderful group of dedicated people who work with the conservancy, and a great group of Publix employees🙌😊
What a beautiful day to volunteer outside at Colonial Park Lake. A wonderful and joyful volunteer experience.
Thank you to the Charleston Parks Conservancy for all that you do to keep the parks beautiful, healthy and thriving🙏

“What a great place that serves the needs of kids and families with cancer! The children are nice and respectful. The volunteers are all professional, helpful and have a great attitude. GCT helps the kids get to camp every year for free. If you can help in anyway, I think this organization is well worth your time and $$$.”

“Been trying to get by here for some time now, but only really being off on Sunday delayed my experience. First off, the store is packed full of stuff, some junk, some treasure. The pricing is slightly higher than Goodwill, but the money also goes to a great cause. I ended up buying a couple of vinyl albums. Hopefully I can visit more often to find some hidden treasure in the future.”

“My mom and I visited South Carolina to follow up on property that we are considered heir too, located in Moncks Corner SC. When looking up information about Heirs to property online and what rights we may have as HEIRS, I discovered this non-profit organization that assist family with generational land/property.
So, the next day of our arrival we went to visit the center for Heirs's property located about 4 mins away from our hotel in which we stay and was greeted by two nice women. We were asked if we had an appointment, which we did not have one scheduled because I just discovered them online the night before. One of the women by the name April Cooper was nice enough, once hearing about our short notice visit, to get a representative to come out to speak to us. This was considerate of Ms. Cooper because she could have just turned us away for not having an appointment. Shortly after a legal administrative assistant came out to meet with us by the name of Ariel Ellerson.

Ms. Ariel Ellerson clarified that she was NOT an attorney and will not be unable to provide legal advice, but she could answer general questions and schedule an appointment with one of their attorneys. Ms. Ariel Ellerson provided general understanding of the center and what they are able to do and answer some of our questions.
Both my mom and I were not able to get a whole lot accomplish but it does seem like a great organization to have to assist families with these complicated issues.
Thank you for your assistance.”
