“Update: we adopted our first cat back in August and I could not have asked for a better cat to join our family! She is absolutely amazing!

This is a wonderful place! I have yet to adopt from here but I help foster from time to time when I can. Donate! Volunteer! Foster! Rescue! Adopt! Save a life.”

“I highly recommend!!! Friendly all around staff, nice maintenance, good food & all of the above. Anything you possibly need, they provide it…My daughter Amaya just had heart surgery on the 21st of October 2024 and everything went successful. The staff said a prayer for her before she went in so that was real amazing. God bless everyone, the mothers, fathers, and the kids. Thank you Ronald MCDONALD”

“What a lifesaver Hope Lodge was for my son and I. The staff was very friendly and personable. After my sons Bone Marrow Transplant we were there for two weeks. Nothing but good things to say about them. I don't know how we would have been able to afford staying in Charleston. They care about the people staying there. God bless Hope Lodge.”

“This is a thoughtfully curated emporium of clever items and compelling books. The staff are welcoming and very informative. Pleasant experiences in shops like these expose the shortcomings of online shopping.”

“Amazing stories and adventures with club members. If you have a model train that still works. Come by and fill out their member application so you get a chance to use your train on their model railroad track. I will come back always.”

“I am 80 years old and I toured Neighborhood House with Sister Agatha who taught me at Cathedral Grammar School on Queen St. I saw a poor infant sleeping in the top drawer of a chest The family could not afford anything for the infant.Since that time I have given money and clothes to help the poor. Neighborhood House serves the poor and does so in a humble fashion.”

“I love community-based work of this organization so much that I joined the staff in May 2020. In the midst of a global pandemic, this organizations’ mission of connecting the community to our parks and open spaces has never been more important, or as well recognized.”

“Great experience. Got the July special 4 books for $1. The bathroom was clean and smelled great oddly enough. My boyfriend got two video games for $1 each. Beautiful glassware if I didn’t live so far I might would have gotten a few pieces but traveling with kids I decided not to.”

My own path. I can't wait to see God's purpose
