“Al and Em do amazing work! I’ve had a permanent bracelet from them for over 2 years and it still looks as great as it did on day 1! A few of my family members love my bracelet and I finally got the chance to bring them to get their own when they came into town. We had such a fun trip to their shop. They were friendly and welcoming and helped each person pick the perfect piece from them. I added a closed cuff from their collection to my wrist and it’s simple yet so chic. “I have several pieces from the beautifully unique Southern Gates collection. My dear late FIL gifted me with the cathedral scroll pendant several years ago and it remains my go-to everyday necklace. Over a decade later I still receive frequent compliments on its beauty and uniqueness, and the piece is still shiny and looks brand new. I have since added several more of the Southern Gates pieces to my collection. We live in Ohio so I have only visited the shop once, when visiting my FIL’s home in nearby Mount Pleasant, but I remember the employees being very kind and having a nice conversation while I selected items to purchase. Online shopping is convenient and shipping is quick. Lovely place to buy sterling silver.”

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the jewelry selection is just the right amount without being lacking OR overwhelming, and the prices make multiple piercings attainable in one visit. They even have ear pillows for purchase so you can sleep on your side without disturbing your new piercings. I'm already planning a return visit.”

“Excellent selection of jewelry. We go there because we always need a custom made ring.10 years ago my wife got me the engagement ring somewhere else, but then we needed a wedding band. They did awesome sending my engagement ring to California to get the wedding band custom made. 10 years later we wanted to add a wedding band to celebrate our milestone. I wanted it custom made, again, but this time with 5 sapphires and 5 diamonds. They sent it out to California. And as the time before, they did an amazing job. I love the new look of my ring!! “If your in Charleston you need to spend some time in the market! Did we buy anything, nope, did we get a sample of local artists, yes. I was hoping to see more of the local stuff and less of the mass manufactured stuff but I get it, just enjoy the atmosphere. It's not Pike's Place in Seattle, but it's still fun to walk through. My favorite part of the market is simply listening to the people selling their goods and customers haggling for deals...just fun.”
