This place is garbage, you would actually probably be more safe sleeping in the garage dumpster out back, there is rust all over the metal handles to drawers , hangers, light switches and lamps, the carpet is soggy feeling and there was mold in the shower tub, there was however a free cancellation policy, free breakfast and nice view across the roadRooms: Don’t be cheap if you have the extra 25-40 bucks spend it, you will be happier over allSafety: Rust and mold at its finest.Noteworthy details: The dry dock right outside was pretty neat

Location is close to everything but if you like to sleep in wouldn't recommend. You'll hear beeping and truck noises all morning from the harbor forklift. Housekeeping like to come by every 30 minutes starting at 8:30 to make sure you're still alive, how nice!

The location of this hotel is good if you are looking to access downtown Charleston quickly. It's 1-2 minutes away. The rooms were okay, it was 3 adults and they only had 1 wash cloth in the bathroom and we called the front desk to request more and no one answered. It appears that only 1-2 people were working at the front desk, which the young lady was very nice, but I believe no one else was working in the entire hotel after checkin. The television in the room was on its last leg, and the tub was chipping really bad. Overall, this hotel was not worth the cost, but again the service I received at checkin was good.Nearby activities: This hotel is 1-2 minutes away from downtown Charleston. Depending on the room you can have a good view of the boat landing.

Staff not so friendly, the bathroom could use updating, and the smell of weed on 2nd floor was overwhelming. This is non-smoking hotel. The breakfast was just okay.

This La Quinta was separated between two buildings. My spouse and I stayed in room 512 and here are our thoughts:1. The room did not match any photos that were on their website.2. No refrigerator or microwave.3. You had to leave the building in order to get a bucket of ice.4. You could hear anyone and everyone so clearly, that you would think they were in the room.5. The bathroom door was damaged, so it didn't close.6. The TV didn't work.7. Outlets were worn down and wouldn't charge our electronics.8. The small breakfast selection left my wife sick to her stomach, and there wasn't any fruit.9. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was not up to a professional standard. For being over $150 a night, it was not worth it. I will definitely have to do more research before booking another La Quinta or Wyndham.

Booked the hotel via hotel America. Arrived and they said that the room was sold out. They said they thought they sent an email to the travel company. Phone service was unresponsive during initial check in. Low quality of entire hotel

I would not recommend this property to anyone. It was dirty, unfriendly and generally in bad repair. The reception staff were very slow and not at all friendly.

I noticed a lot of bad reviews so I felt the need to post a review of our stay. We stayed this weekend for two nights, just my husband and I. The entire facility could certainly use an upgrade, however, our stay wasn’t bad. We didn’t see any bugs like other reviews have said. The breakfast wasn’t great, so don’t expect that as an option. However, the staff was friendly and the location was great! We would stay here again!

UPDATE APRIL 2023 THE BANK REVERSE MY CHARGES I GOT MY MONEY RETURNED TO ME THEY TRIED TO SCAM ME AND NEVER EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED IT THANK YOU GEOVISTA.UPDATE: 3-29-23I thought the room was beautiful. All dark wood, nicely dusted, clean. Very inviting. Loved the view, my bed, and the concert I attended at the Music Hall. What was the most horrifying thing was finding charges against my card for $550 for a TV that they say I "punched". I was shocked. I disputed the charges with the bank, and about two weeks later finally received pictures, which clearly did not connect me with the room at all. The cabinet on which the TV was sitting was scuffed and light in color, the direct opposite of which was in my room. Michael Fletcher, the general manager was very rude, and abrupt and could care less to hear anything I had to say. Come to find out from a consumer advocacy group I contacted this is a well-known scam of hotels to target solo travelers from out of town trying to line the pockets of a declining profit margin. Thanks be to GOD, my bank saw through the ruse and refunded my money back to me. BEWARE, FELLOW TRAVELERS, TAKE PICTURES AND VIDEO OF YOUR ROOM UPON CHECKING IN AND CHECKING OUT AND DOCUMENT THE CONDITION WITH DATE AND TIME. Hopefully, this will not happen to anyone else. SHAME ON MICHAEL FLETCHER/ SUPERVISOR GREG AND THE STAFF FOR TRYING TO SCAM SOMEONE.So I would advise all future guests to please have someone come and check your room before you leave to ensure that they are not going to try to erroneously charge your credit card for damages that were done by staff or old damage trying to get something replaced. Never before have I had to make sure that staff inspect my room but from now on that will be the course of treatment for Wyndham hotels. I'm a gold member and have been a member for many many years and I've never been treated like this before at a Wyndham property.
