“My Dacshund had paralysis in her hind legs and needed surgery for a herniated disc. She was young so opted for the surgery even though expensive. The staff, doctors and surgeons were excellent in sharing step by step procedures and truly loving my pet as much as their own. Taking time to answer all my questions and being there 24/7 if I thought of any more.”

“I have had trouble in the past with feelings of guilt bringing in our reactive cat for his check up’s. Here he’s been welcomed with open arms and treated with so much patience. Even after he refused to take his medication the morning of, they still were able to sedate him & do what was needed. I appreciate a vet that has an understanding that some cats just come extra spicy. My cat Salmon (Sal) says thank you even if he didn’t say it whilst at the practice. I thank you all as well, for I will not be (completely) dreading his appointment next year. Hopefully Salmon feels the same one day. (He wont)”

“I highly recommend Daniel Island Animal Hospital. My senior dog, Willow, was well taken care of by Dr. Shiyou. Willow came to me and my wife later in her life, and had lacked adequate care for most of her life. Within a matter of months, Dr. Shiyou’s care transformed Willow. The sickly little dog we had adopted was full of life and personality. Her coat that was matted and patchy began to glisten. She developed her own attitude and sass. Dr. Shiyou implemented diet change and pain management to make Willow’s last year as comfortable as possible.
Dr. Shiyou never dismissed any of our concerns regarding senior health and always did a spectacular job managing her health. She thoughtfully presented all options and never pressured us to make any rash decisions. Willow absolutely adored Dr. Shiyou and made her vet visits a treat.
Willow has since moved on, but Dr. Shiyou continues to provide care and treatment for our other three pups, who are as happy and healthy as can be. My wife and I will always be grateful to Dr. Shiyou for her specialized care and attention.”

“I have had dogs my whole life long and Dr. Kahuda is the most accomplished vet I’ve ever encountered. I first came to her with an ancient Golden Retriever who had a laundry list of issues. Each one she carefully and effectively addressed. When it was time for him to cross the rainbow bridge she was compassionate and kind. When I walked in with a new puppy some months later she immediately embraced him and did a thorough check & assessment. Sadly, he became extremely ill and had to be hospitalized. Dr. Kahuda’s careful monitoring and direction saved his young life. This woman knows what she’s doing and she does it kindness and compassion. You CAN NOT go wrong putting your pet under her care.”

“This place is awesome, I had an emergency with my tortoise and this office was so helpful they got us in the same day. The doctor was amazing and all the office staff were so polite even the next day when I called a million times lol. No one ever was short they are very attentive and understanding. They make you and your pet feel very welcome. I wish this office was closer because they would be my all the time vet! But will definitely be my go to place for anymore emergencies.”

“Very professional and compassionate on June 23rd I took my Smokey boy in with swollen tummy along with a few other things not realizing how sick my boy was. I had to make one of three choices and all of them were difficult especially #3. It was so hard not to be selfish and bring him home with me with lots of meds but not fair to him at all. I was given as much time as I needed to make a decision while also being comforted by staff and Dr. I have never nor has my fur baby been treated so well in such a terrible situation. I will highly recommend them to all! I returned on the evening of the 26th to pick up my boy that was cremated at Good Shepherd ( they are wonderful as well) and I was crying trying to ask for him and the receptionist came around and gave a big hug and condolences. That meant a lot!! Well my boy tomorrow will be a week and one of the hardest weeks I've ever had I know you see my tears still flowing hard everyday I miss you so much as your brother and sister miss you tremendously as well as grandad. We love and miss you Smokey”
“They are quick and responsive and LOVE their patients. I have been looking for a good vet for my American bulldog and I was able to get him scheduled. He has been having linor seizures and they told me about a neurologist that comes in often. They are so reliable and sweet and they really want the best for your pet. Cant recommend enough!”
