“I've been taking my pets to Animal Hospital of North Charleston for 12 years. I usually see Dr. Thompson. From the front desk to the techs to the vets, they do a great job with both people and their pets. I have a rare breed and my vet is very open to learning about them and some of their particular needs. I really love that!”

“Simply the best! Better than all the rest! They are really great staff. Dr Leman is such a compassionate human and knows how to people well. The vet techs are amazing. When my babies are hurting or just need a checkup. I have been seeing this place about 15 years now. Maybe more.”

“Dr. Benton has been my vet for over 20 years. Both her and her staff are so professional, kind and accommodating. She offered extended help when my husband was going through treatment for cancer. She has seen us through 2 dogs we eventually had to put to sleep. Her love of animals and empathy for both the animals and their owners is unmatched. Now my Goldendoodle loves her too. Anyone that has asked about a vet Dr. Benton has always been our recommendation. We love the entire staff.”

“We were looking to adopt a cat and looked at the Charleston Animal Shelter. Everyone that helped us was super kind and helpful. You can tell they have a passion for what they do and I felt really good about looking for our little soul kitty there. We ended up adopting from their kittens at the West Ashley Pet Smart. The people at PetSmart were not as nice and I felt super rushed and like I was being a burden to them. I hope all of the cats especially the Pet Smart kitties get adopted soon. They need love and attention and aren't getting the same attention as the cats at the actual shelter. Luckily, we still found one and saved it from Pet Smart. We are in love with our new kitty cat.”

“This vets office is amazing! Especially during this pandemic, they’ve been especially accommodating. My dogs love visiting them! Their prices are extremely reasonable, the staff is wonderful, and the vets have always been there to answer all the questions. I can’t recommend them enough!”

“I cannot express how grateful I am for the wonderful care that my animals received at both Northwoods Veterinary Clinic and their sister clinic West Ashley Veterinary Clinic. The doctors and staff at both veterinary clinics go above and beyond to provide compassionate care to their clients. Having moved from Baltimore to Charleston, I had no idea where to take my animals for care. I had gone to a few veterinary clinics before finding them and once I found them, I knew my animals were going to be taken very good care of. Having worked in veterinary clinics over the past 15 years, both clinics surpassed my expectations of client and patient care. All of the staff from the front to the back are personable, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I am very sad that I no longer live in the area and am able to take my animals here. I would highly recommend both of these clinics to anyone in the Charleston area.”
