“We so love the location and people in this special place that we stay here each time we are in town. The location on campus cannot be beat and is walking distance (>1mi). If you are a golfer, this course is beautiful.”

“I had an amazing experience at the Hampton Inn Clemson, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Shaq, The Night Audit for going above and beyond during a very busy and stressful time.

During the LSU vs. Clemson game, there were outages with Uber that left a lot of guests and visitors stranded and unsure of how to get where they needed to go. Shaq stepped up with such professionalism and kindness—offering waters, checking in on everyone, and making sure people felt safe and cared for while they figured things out.

It’s rare to see someone handle a hectic situation with such calmness, hospitality, and genuine concern for others. Shaq truly turned what could have been a frustrating night into a positive experience.

Hampton Inn Clemson is lucky to have someone like Shaq on their team, and I’ll definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family.”

“First and foremost. The staff is amazing, helpful and friendly. Location is excellent. I will definitely stay here in the future. My only complaint is with room 129 shower. This is a handicap accessible room so the walk in shower step is much lower. After driving 7+ hours. I needed to shower. When I got out of the shower, the entire floor in the bathroom and entry way were flooded. Had to use all the towels to stop it from going under the door into the hallway and on the carpet.”

“Everything was perfect ! Ask for Justin at the front desk !
Free breakfast !
Rooms have microwave and refrigerator !
Large and spacious rooms, great ambience, each room opens to the common balcony/patio.
Right opposite the hotel across the street, are a few restaurants as well.
Great value price-wise, but probably because it was off-season.
Only downside is that there's no elevator, although the building has just 2 floors.

Rooms: Large/spacious, has balcony/patio, has microwave + refrigerator

Nearby activities: Lake jocasee, lake ocoee, 12mile recreation area, university campus, downtown pubs

Safety: Probably very safe

Walkability: Not much walkable, not sure if free CATbus is frequent and/or covers certain locations

Food and drinks: Some restaurants across the road right opposite of the hotel property.
Many fast food chains at the major intersection of Tiger blvd.
Then there's many pubs in the downtown”
