“I did it. Yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of my love’s death. After a year, a lot of money, a total rebuild, my last gift to him is home. His baby, now my El Camino, is home.
Thank you to everyone that heard my cry with grief, to everyone that helped me through the hardest time of my life… to Rick, James, Tiffany, and everyone at performance auto in Pickens…they made his dream come true. They made it more than just a job, they knew how much it meant to me, and I think it became personal for them too. They brought her home to me in grand style, and she is a beast.

“I’ve been taking my cars to Roots for a couple of years, ever since they were recommended to me by a friend. I’ve been fortunate that it’s usually been just routine maintenance, oil changes, brakes, diagnosing strange sounds, etc. They’ve always shot straight with me. Recently though I had a MAJOR A/C repair done by technician Nathan, and it was handled with care and competence. Scott at the front is always professional and friendly, and the owner Bob Root is usually around and available to speak with you about any concerns. Highly recommend this shop!”

“Over the years my 2006 Volvo XC70 has developed severe leaks, both power steering and coolant. One I couldn't access, the other I couldn't easily locate. Sheriff was able to find and repair both issues very quickly, and provided prompt communication on all matters! I am very pleased with the experience, and the ol' wagon is running better than ever. The turbo even seems to be running smoother, despite that being outside of what I asked them to service. I will definitely be keeping this shop on file should I ever need further work done!”

“My air went out in my car on Friday and Tom said he could fit me in to run a diagnostic on it that day which I was so thankful for. He was able to order the parts so he could get to work on it on Monday. Monday afternoon came around and he called me and told me it was all fixed! I was so impressed with how quickly he fixed it! Because I ended up having to get a new air compressor and radiator it was a bit more than I thought it would be when I originally showed up, however SO much more reasonable than other shops. Highly recommend coming here. The only thing to be aware of is there’s a 3% charge on any card transactions which is kind of a bummer so I recommend paying in cash if you can.”

However to find a honest mechanic that can do a simple alignment and change the oil in your car.
