Cashua Veterinary Care
1216 S Cashua Dr, FlorenceWe have taken our fur babies to Cashua Veterinary Care for MANY years. We are often worked in with very short notice due to schedules and I can’t explain how important that is to us. We have received nothing but kind and compassionate care for our babies and for ourselves when we are broken hearted, stressed, and worried. I have nothing but great things to say about this practice and a huge thank you could never be enough.

Palmetto Animal Hospital: Dr. Dolly Anderson, DVM
2221 2nd Loop Rd, Florence7 months ago when I got my dog, Sadie Mae from the shelter, she was extremely sick. This was the only place I could find that would take her as an emergency walk in. She's been going here ever since and the care, staff, and communication has been nothing less than amazing. They have taken such great care of my baby. The staff, especially Elise & Josh, are absolutely incredible. I wouldn't take her anywhere else.

Causey Paren DVM
315 N Beltline Dr, FlorenceI took my baby Peanut today for a checkup and a shot, also to set up an appointment to be spade. Saw Dr. Causey, I guess, male! Couldn’t love it more!!! He answered all my questions and even went beyond in my opinion. I asked if they would remind me the day before about the rules- feeding a such- he walked to the front desk and spoke to someone about letting me know! I have in the past dealt with vets who could have cared less! I HiGHLY recommend this place! Best experience I have ever had!

2020 S Irby St, FlorenceWe've been using Companion for 18 years and I have no complaints. They were very sympathetic when we had to put down my Aussie of 12 years. We now have 2 dogs and they have been so helpful answering all of my questions. I feel like they truly care about my babies.

Companion Veterinary Care Center
2020 S Irby St, FlorenceSadly we had to visit this Vet during an emergency. They were the closest to our gone when our cat stopped breathing. I was able to keep her alive with mouth to mouth until we got there, but her demise was inevitable unfortunately. Her lungs had filled with blood due to an unknown infection. The vet on duty was very fast in trying to treat her as we rushed through the door unannounced. They were very sympathetic and took care of her remains. I think we will be using their services for our remaining 4 cats in the future if we can. No, not crazy cat people, none of them were sought out by us, we just can't seem to let a stray go hungry or sleep out in the cold...

F. E. Pop's at 5 Points
1811 Cherokee Rd, FlorenceThere aren't too many good breakfast spots in Florence but FE Pops is an option that is pretty good. It's definitely a locals restaurant for people meeting up and chewing the fat. It's nice inside for the most part with paintings on the wall which are for sale. It was, however, pretty cold. The temperature read 63° on the thermostat. Service was good but I was a little surprised that we had to ask for salt and pepper which is typically expected to be on a table when you sit down. Our breakfasts were good though and I'm definitely impressed with their eggs. Way too many restaurants over cook scrambled eggs but FE Pops nailed it. Fluffy and not dry. The bacon was perfect too but I wasn't too impressed with the sausage patties. It sort of had the "Brown and Serve" flavor. No big deal though. Grits only come with cheese which was a little disappointing but they were still good. Potato home fries were good. Definitely would come back here.

The Hideout - Ramen + Boba Tea
1641 W Palmetto St, FlorenceThe food was delicious. It seemed like it was made fresh & tasted like it. 1000% not our crowd. Can't say I could've been prepared for how much our preppy family with special needs daughter was out of place. They weren't unfriendly necessarily bc they were indifferent to anyone who came in... maybe that's the vibe? Had a grown man-boy almost run us over getting in the door before us- no manners or diagnosable? Not bad kids- or adults- just weird & likely they felt the same way about us. We'll totally be back bc I can't say for enough about the food. We got chicken dumplings, chicken ramen, chicken teriyaki, & sweet chili chicken. The cashier even ended up being sweet! What an unusual place to have such good food. Maybe we'll do to-go, people watch, or grace them with our presence again! I'm kinda wondering if there's hidden sketch- ha! It was that curious.
