“Once again I made the short journey to the Gaffney S.C. main branch of First Piedmont Federal S &L bank. I just wanted to put some money in my daughters checking account since she would be out of town for the weekend. I wanted her to be able to handle any unforeseen financial situations. As instructed the last time that I did this I didn't deposit cash directly into her account! I made a transfer from my account into hers. I asked the teller if it wouldn't be more simple to just let me deposit the 100.00 cash from my wallet! I would be glad to face the Federal scrutiny about money laundering over this little bit since transferring money from one account to another is more time consuming! The teller then told me that it's always been against their banks policy to deposit cash into someone else's account! I replied: that's a shocker to me as I've been putting money in my daughters bank account since she was old enough to drive a car! No reply : so I will comply!”

“This seems to be a really good credit union ( bank ). My daughter has an account here and I've been considering opening one myself for quite some time. For all practical purposes, this is a bank!Its more than full service! We went inside and I didn't see any of the long lines that I'd been hearing about. My daughter was waited on rather promptly. We were treated in a most courteous manner! I really don't understand why this is called a credit union and not bank. Most credit unions that I've been affiliated with over the years require a company sponsorship to open an account or for any other kind of services. I don't believe it's that way here. I was mostly just window shopping for another place to put some money. From my one time visit here I don't have any reservations about this financial institution!”
