“I do not usually leave reviews but the water pressure in room 102 was so amazing, I had to say something.
After having a very draining few days of realizing our power was going to have to be shut off, on one of the coldest days and nights, just so all the wiring could be redone, I was stressed and tired. Trying to find a hotel that actually matched the prices online was a headache, so when I finally pulled into the econo lodge for Mr Mike to make things so quick and easy, my stress was finally relieved, then having such a hot shower with great water pressure, it's amazing what such a small luxury can do
Thank you to the crew in goose Creek.”

“Delightful stay in North Charleston. The entire property appears very well maintained for both the hotel and cottages. All areas are clean, free of debris, neat and orderly. Updates and upgrades are done well. Shows how this hotel probably looked when it first opened. Friendly staff and quick responses to text messages and emails. Late check-out was easily accommodated with early warning. Instructions were clear, concise and timely. As a golden oldie myself, the attention to detail for this era is the perfect mix of “vintage feel” and modern conveniences. Parking is ample and marked to accommodate current car standards. The cottages are a little village unto themselves. Area might even be a great wedding or reunion location. The trees are lit with wired lighting and giving a cozy atmosphere to the cottage village. Parking in the cottage area is a pea-gravel.
Review for Hemingway Cottage only. Two bedrooms, two full baths. Cottage is beautifully renovated, keeping its historic charm while integrating modern updates. Parking was available directly next to the unit. Galley kitchen has everything you need for a short or long stay. Marble or granite countertop, gas oven with vent. Counter dining seating for 4. Pull down faucet with full size sink. Full size fridge and freezer, 2 coffee makers, toaster, microwave, dishwasher and pots/pans/dishes/utensils available for use. There is an apartment sized washer and dryer available. The unit was supplied with essentials such as dishwashing soap, sponge, garbage bags, dishwasher pods, coffee pods and cream/sugar. Living room was comfortable and conducive to visiting and entertainment. Seating is soft and comfortable. Big screen TV available in the living area, but set up to enjoy conversations as much as the TV. TV allowed you to utilize pay services including Netflix, Brit Box, Prime Video and Disney+. Wi-Fi was also available and provided prior to arrival. As a real estate agent, I can assure any visitor that the updates made to the cottages were done with care and detail. The mix of new and old styles was done very well. Vintage type wallpaper is in the main bedroom which boasts a king sized bed with individual lighting at each night stand. The bed was firm, rather than soft and pillowy, but I actually slept very well. Linens were adequate for warmth and comfort as well as aesthetically pleasing. Towels, washcloths and hand towels were stocked for a short stay and accommodating the maximum of 4 people. Ceiling fan and light were driven by switches rather than pull cords. Heating and air is centralized and is definitely an appreciated convenience. Visit in winter showed that the living room and kitchen area was colder with the blinds up than down. Windows are historically correct so that’s single pane windows. Windows do open so you can enjoy the fresh air. This cottage did not have an open area for entertainment, but there are other cottages with outdoor entertainment areas. Bedrooms were warmer than the living room/kitchen area. There were charming and vintage looking curtains for the windows which assisted with holding the heat inside. Bathrooms are fully renovated with new tile, but giving that charming cottage look and feel. Soap, shampoo and conditioner were provided for the light traveler. Commodes worked well with that fine detail of having a brush and a plunger for those unexpected moments that come with good food, just in case. This was a GREAT stay for us. Definitely planning to stay here again. We stayed the weekend of January 11-12, 2025. Owners have done a really beautiful job with the updates. You will not be disappointed making your reservation.”

“The location is sketchy but this is a very nice hotel for the price point. There are a lot of places to eat across the way. The room was clean, bed soft and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were all friendly and its clear this place has a few regular guests and they made the place feel like a home. The hotel is pretty quiet too.”

“I had a great stay at SpringHill Suites. The hotel was very clean, well-maintained, and had a welcoming atmosphere from the front desk staff. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and provided everything needed for a pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I especially appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the attention to detail. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable hotel experience (without worrying about cleanliness and outdated furniture)”

“My husband and I recently stayed at Best Western Magnolia Inn and Suites and overall had a really pleasant experience. What truly made our stay stand out was Zoey at the front desk. She was honestly one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. Her personality was warm, kind, and welcoming, and she was so attentive and engaging with us throughout our entire stay. Anytime we needed anything like extra towels or toiletries, she didn’t hesitate at all and made sure we were taken care of right away. She’s definitely the reason our stay felt so comfortable.

The area itself wasn’t bad at all, and the hotel has a cute, cozy feel to it. The only thing I would mention is that the property does seem a bit outdated compared to other Best Westerns I’ve stayed at, and it could benefit from some updates. That being said, everything was clean and well-kept, so I really can’t complain.

Overall, it was a good stay, and the excellent service especially from Zoey made it even better :)”

“My cousin and I stayed at your hotel for 7 days. We were there for my uncle's funeral services. We were very impressed with everything and everyone we came in contact with. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and the pillows were phenomenal. We thoroughly enjoyed the daily breakfast, especially the omelets and fried potatoes. The staff was wonderful, going above and beyond every time. Thank you and I will recommend your hotel to others.”

“This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel and we love it. I really love the fact that the front desk is always open and you can rent a room anytime. Also, the apple juice at breakfast is so good. I have bout 4 cups of it everytime. Love this hotel”

“Room clean & spacious, staff friendly & helpful. Bar in lobby a good hangout. Restaurant great... Bourbon salmon moist & flavorful, shrimp & grits tasty but not overloaded with butter. Restaurant furniture badly worn (surprising they let it go this far, but the food is tasty!). Convenient to airport.”

“Not the best hotel I've stayed at, but for the budget we are on this trip, it works out. The room was a little run down specifically the bathroom. But ac, shower, all the normal things still work. The lobby is super cute and there's a decent little gym.”

“Ok so the rooms are just fine really for the price it's not bad and the location is excellent especially if you are working in the area or the Summerville area either one. Traffic really isn't bad into Summerville In the morning I love that. And as far as noise best way I say it is for the most part it's quite there. I just kept to myself haven't had any problems”

“I want to give a sincere shout out to the staff at the Residence Inn in Summerville for making a challenging stay more comfortable.

I had a reservation at the Residence Inn from May 26 to 30, a property where I have stayed many times over the years. Unlike most of my visits, I arrived later in the evening and parked my rental car in the lot. Unfortunately, the hotel now charges for parking, which many Marriott properties have done for years. Thankfully, the rate at this location is much cheaper than any other Marriott property I have seen that charges for parking.

To register your vehicle, you must scan a code in the parking lot and enter your vehicle and credit card information. This takes a few minutes, which leaves guests vulnerable while standing outside. As I was trying to register, two young men approached me and aggressively tried to get me to ‘donate’ money to their cause, which I refused. After they finally moved on, I finished registering my vehicle, but I did not feel comfortable leaving it where they had seen me get out of it. I was concerned they might return and vandalize the car because I did not give them any money. I moved the rental car to the front of the hotel and parked near the entrance.

Still shaken from the encounter, I told the front desk clerk what had happened. She was extremely kind and offered to comp my parking for the duration of my stay, which I greatly appreciated.

The next morning, I had lost track of where I parked the vehicle because I had moved it a couple of times while looking for a secure space. I thought the car had been stolen, so I reported it to the front desk. The staff took my concern very seriously and immediately began searching for it. The maintenance man, whom I have seen many times over the years at this property, asked for my keys so he could check the lot. Within a few minutes, he located the car, and my concerns were quickly alleviated. I apologized for the confusion, but the staff was simply relieved they had resolved the issue. Their attitude and professionalism were outstanding.

I continued my stay, but after a couple of days, the air-conditioning in my room stopped cooling, and the room became extremely uncomfortable. The same maintenance man who helped me locate my rental car came to troubleshoot the issue. He determined that the unit could not be repaired immediately, so he arranged for me to move to a different room, brought the new keys to me, and helped me move all my belongings. He went well above and beyond anything I would have expected.

Although my stay came with a few surprises, the wonderful staff at the Residence Inn Summerville demonstrated what exceptional customer service looks like, and I am profoundly grateful for their efforts.

In the future, I would recommend that the hotel consider adding some type of security monitoring in the parking area, because the time required to register a vehicle at night creates a vulnerability and a safety concern that could be reduced with additional oversight.”

“Stayed at the Quality Inn in Summerville recently and had a genuinely great experience, especially considering how affordable it was. The hotel was very clean overall, from the lobby to the rooms, and everything felt well-kept and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, the room smelled fresh, and housekeeping clearly does a good job maintaining the property.

Like any hotel that gets regular use, there was a little normal wear and tear here and there in the room, but nothing major, nothing dirty, and definitely nothing that took away from the stay or looked unesthetic. Overall, the property was still very presentable and comfortable.

The location was another huge plus. It’s in a convenient area with easy access to restaurants, stores, and the highway, while still being close enough to downtown Charleston to make visiting the city quick and easy without paying Charleston hotel prices.

Also want to give credit to Robert at the front desk. He was extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating throughout the stay. Good customer service makes a big difference, and he definitely helped make everything smooth and welcoming from check-in onward.

For the price, this hotel honestly exceeded expectations. Clean, convenient, comfortable, and staffed by people who actually care about guests. Would definitely stay here again.”

“Great location. Very clean and good size room. Ours even had a small kitchen area which was great Staff was friendly. They definitely need more parking though! People were having to park at the hotel across the street because they don't have enough spaces to accommodate when they are booked up . I would recommend staying here!”

“My friend booked this place for us. After reading the reviews, I was nervous about it. But the two nights we spent here was nice. All staff members were polite to us. Our room was clean and our beds were made. No signs of bedbugs. There was wear and tear in our room like small patched over holes in the wall and chipped furniture but nothing major. At night it was humid, but we put the ac on which made it comfortable. The free breakfast included pancakes from a pancake machine and store bought muffins and bread, and juice from a juice machine. Not my ideal breakfast, but my friend enjoyed it. I felt safe here even at night. This place has a convenient location, we were out and about most of the day. We were 30 minute late checking out and they didn’t make a big deal about it. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for something affordable and chill.”

“This place had some interesting details both good and bad.
The hotel lobby was pretty cool with a lot of fun and interesting furniture and design details. I was particularly interested in the chain mail curtains and the fiber optics in the bar top. There were a lot of people hanging out in the lobby and I thought that was pretty cool for a hotel of this size.
The room was pretty average. I think the modern design was diminished by the poorly executed craftsmanship. There were signs of wear and damaged furniture that probably should be replaced.
The staff was great and the hotel bartender was super friendly.
The location was by far the worst part. There's no sidewalks connecting the hotel to the neighboring area so you have to cross the street or walk on the grass. At about 7AM flights start coming into the airport and this must be right under the flight path, so it sounds like planes are going to crash into the building every twenty minutes or so. Which isn't great of you like to sleep in.”

“On the plus side, I can say that I didn’t get robbed.
It’s also a great place if you’re preparing for a trip to India.
And if you’re alone and bored, don’t worry — the cockroaches will always keep you company. Just don’t forget to bring them some pizza.
Also, if you’re planning to get a good night’s sleep, I wouldn’t recommend it.”
