“I checked in on August 31st for a conference. They must have upgraded my room. As someone working and traveling a lot I usually stay at the cheapest places so this was a pleasant shock to walk into a huge suite. I didn't know if the company I was working for had paid for it or what so I never got to thank the guy who checked me in haha or whoever it was who made the upgrade but it was the nicest room I've ever had!!”
“Location is awesome very convenient to the interstate. Rooms are very nice and have plenty of space. Pool was also nice and clean. The breakfast and the cleanliness should warrant an additional 5 stars. Highly recommend and if im staying in the area again I will definitely stay here.”

“The hotel is going through a huge renovation. There is no lobby and the pool is closed.
But the rooms are complete and they are excellent! Tons of room. Super clean and super quiet. Walk in shower, plenty of lighting. This will be my hotel of choice for my regular visits to Greenville!
Staff is great. Very friendly and helpful.
Don’t let the construction deter you. It’s outstanding.”

“This was a very nice, nicely decorated hotel! Love downtown Greeneville and the atmosphere and this place fits right in. The parking and floor numbers are hard to keep straight (parking deck owned by the city, so numbers do not match hotel floors- parking in downtown Greenville can be a bit tricky amyways) but a great hotel. The front desk staff wad great and the very nice lady with the accent, I am sad I didn't get your name, was soooo sweet and super helpful and actual turned my frown upside down 😁! Rooms were a tad small but it was the most comfortable bed, in a hotel, that we have encountered in a while! We usually stick with the Marriott brand because we know what we are getting!!”

“Nice hotel. Room was very clean and spacious. My room had a couple issues. Mini fridge froze my milk, tub drained really slow and the pillows were really flimsy. Shower was nice and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Made to order omelets were fantastic. Rest of buffet was also good. Staff always friendly.”

“The hotel was nice and my room was good. I wish there was a microwave in the room though. The van driver, Chris was great! He was personable and friendly. He chatted up the restaurant that was attached to the hotel and also told us about area attractions and other places to eat. He offered the van for rides, time and availability permitting, within a 5 mile radius. It was a great stay.”

“We came on a business trip with my husband with our 3 year old in tow. We first had booked a stay at a Home2 Suites in Anderson, SC but upon check in we realized the location was not safe and the headboard had unsanitary stains on it. We were so happy to find this hotel instead. The suite we are in is so spacious and it has a full kitchen (induction burned, table, full fridge, dishwasher). Beds are comfy. Design is great. Hot water does take a while to come out, but it’s no big deal.”

“My family and I encountered an unexpected circumstance that required us to relocate. Because we knew we were leaving the area, signing another long-term lease was not an option, and for a period of time we found ourselves in an incredibly difficult temporary situation.
Ashley Todd knew none of that when she first answered the phone.
She was simply doing what she clearly does for every person who crosses her path: treating another human being with compassion, dignity, professionalism, and care.
I have spent much of my career in leadership, and one thing I have learned is that not everyone who demonstrates top-tier leadership comes with an impressive title, a wall full of degrees, or fits the traditional business-suit image of what leadership is supposed to look like.
Ashley Todd is leadership.
As Executive Housekeeper, she carried the reputation of that hotel on her back. She made sure the people staying there felt that their needs mattered. She provided my family with nonstop support and, without exaggeration, some of the most exceptional hospitality I have ever experienced.
I have stayed in luxury resorts. My family has traveled on cruise lines numerous times. For a significant portion of my adult life, Airbnb was often my first choice when traveling. I have experienced hospitality in many forms and at many price points.
I have never encountered anyone equivalent to Ashley Todd.
What made her remarkable was not simply that she did her job well. It was the way she cared for people while doing it. There was nothing performative about her kindness. There was no sense that she was looking for recognition. She simply showed up, repeatedly, and made an incredibly difficult period in our family’s life more manageable because of the person she chose to be.
I also want to recognize Mr. Jimmy Taylor.
There are people who can read Bible scriptures, and then there are people who live them. Mr. Taylor took time out of what I know was an extraordinarily busy executive schedule to personally reach out and check on my family. IHG is an enormous company, and in the grand scheme of everything they do, we were one family staying in one hotel during a really difficult time. He still made time for us.
He listened. He followed up. He treated us like people, not a reservation number, and I will never forget that.
My family and I have now successfully relocated into our new home and no longer need a hotel, but what Ashley and Mr. Taylor did for us will stay with me for a very long time.
When we travel again, IHG will be the first place I look.
Not because of a commercial, a points program, or some corporate promise about customer service. Because Ashley Todd and Jimmy Taylor showed my family what hospitality is supposed to look like when the people representing a company actually care about the people in front of them.
They earned my family’s loyalty in a way no advertisement ever could.”

“My son and I had to travel to Greenville for an emergency visit where his Mother is seriously ill in the hospital. He traveled from FL and me from NC. The Staff knew our situation and took extremely good care of us from the moment we got there until he and I left today and yesterday respectively. “As a gold member I was surprised there are no real benefits in staying here. No discounts on breakfast it’s like they do not recognize you as a gold member. I asked for a email receipt they said okay as I need one due to work then I had to call back a few hours later and remind them to send it. My point ms have not been added nor is my counted. I have stayed there a couple of times but I am sure this was the last.”

“I have nothing bad to say. This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are super clean. The owners are an amazing couple. So friendly and helpful. They allowed me an early check in because I had an early flight. The breakfast bar is super cute and all looks great. Haven't tried the breakfast yet, but I will. The beds are so comfy. Pillows for every type of sleeper. The TV is set up in a way that you can stream from your phone or you can just watch normal cable TV. The housekeeping staff are friendly and attentive to your needs. I asked for just 2 little bath cloths and she gave me 2 towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 bath cloths, along with the bath mat for the floor. The location is central to a lot of places whichever direction you choose to go.”

There were no bedbugs though I am not a stranger to the outdoors therefore being in this motel made me feel the thrill I do seek when sleeping outdoors. I love the thrill of Sands Motel being located on a hill inside an enclosed naturistic environment. It gave me a sense of security and a reminisce of African tribes that block invaders from entering using the same method. To be preserved as if I am inside a jar gaining juices while I sleep in peace. Best Way motels reminds all and shows the way using it design to secure life.
