“To the entire staff of Avenue - y'all knocked it out of the park for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party, which, by the way, we had to plan from out of state. The space was perfectly suited to accommodate both parties. From the moment of first contact, the entire team was responsive, efficient, and professional. They kept me on task throughout every stage of the process. When we arrived to drop off centerpieces, place cards, menus, etc, they already had the music we provided playing and the slideshow running. They could not have been more wonderful to work with and everyone had a great time! Thank you!”

“My daughter got married three weeks ago, and we had both the ceremony and reception at Larkin’s Sawmill — hands down the best decision we made!
I’ve helped coordinate four weddings over the years, and this was by far the least stressful experience I’ve ever had.
First off, the pricing is straightforward and very fair — no nickel-and-diming. You pick your food and your space, and they handle the rest. Tables, linens, glassware, plates, silverware, etc. — all included. Even gratuity is built in, which made everything feel seamless. Their attention to detail is the game-changer. Honestly, more than half of my planning checklist was covered after the very first meeting with our Larkin’s coordinator.
The staff was incredible across the board — friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. I truly cannot say enough.
Our coordinator, Chloe, was amazing — so helpful, flexible, and accommodating, especially when working around our schedule for decorating. More than anything, she’s a great listener. I felt heard when I shared what we wanted for my daughter’s day, our budget, and all the little details that mattered. Both Chloe and Jen brought our vision to life while keeping everything within budget. Chloe also stayed in constant communication in the weeks after our planning session and answered what felt like a million messages (which definitely helped calm my planning anxiety ?).
The venue itself is beautiful. My daughter was married out in the field, which was just perfect, but I also loved knowing there was a solid indoor option if the weather didn’t cooperate. The coordinators and staff take the stress out of weather planning by already having a transition plan in place if things change suddenly, and best of all, they handle the transition if needed. The firepit area and indoor spaces are already set with string lights that create such a warm, inviting atmosphere — honestly, even if we brought zero decorations, Larkins set-up would’ve been enough. The field has a gorgeous rock and greenery backdrop, and the patio features a small rock waterfall with big windows that bring in beautiful natural light. The whole space gave our photographer plenty of inspo!
One personal moment that really stood out:
We were there early the morning of the wedding to decorate, completely focused and honestly running on empty. Chef Steven, Chef Curry, and their staff (who were up early cooking for another event) noticed and brought us out biscuits and gravy with fruit — completely unexpected and so appreciated. They are just so down to earth, the kind of people you'd want to hang out with. And can I just tell you how delicious the food at our reception was? I mean seriously!
At the reception, the staff took care of us like we were family -- and by the end of the night, I felt like Ms. Thelma really was family. She and the other wait staff made the experience so comfortable and warm. Because of them, I actually got to sit back and enjoy my daughter's special day.
From start to finish, Larkin’s delivered — amazing food, amazing people, and an experience that felt effortless on a day that could have easily been stressful.

“We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party here a few weeks ago and were overall very happy with the team here as well as event. Beautiful spaces, laid out a bit funky with bathrooms being right in the middle of the space, but you can design around that. View was nice but I wish we would've known how dark it truly gets up there as I would've made sure we had more string lights than what was provided.
We had to pay extra for security and still had some crashers who got away with free food and drinks - that was a bummer. Also the bar tenders seemed high on life if ya catch my drift. Totally fine as they were professional & funny but they kept getting peoples wine wrong (serving pinot grigio when people were asking for pinot noir, lol) & not giving out the specialty cups we wanted them to serve drinks in. Convenient location but the signage is horrible & so hard to find - good thing we had a specialty easel and sign directing folks they were in the right place. Overall would recommend hosting an event here!”

“Great location with lots of restaurants and shops. Desk clerk was very friendly and he upgraded our room. The lady that works in the kitchen was very nice and very helpful. They are doing some remodeling but it didn't interfere with our stay. The only thing I can say negative is the very loud AC unit because it is not central and it did interfere with my sleep but I believe most motels use the same system.”

“I picked this as my normal hotel was booked, but will plan to stay here going forward. Super accessible to downtown, very clean, and lobby has plenty of quiet areas vs some of the hotels where it feels like a mall. Also, Christina was at the front desk most of my trip and had phenomenal customer service. She remembered me by name the entire trip despite just seeing my ID on check in. This was a warm and genuine touch which made me feel at home. Will stay again!”

“Great location within a walking distance of everything downtown Greenville. The rooms were clean, kind of a strange layout (not a lot of space to hang clothes or take stuff out of your bags) therefore not the best for longer stays, but for one or two nights it works! Very nice fitness facility in the building as well. Breakfast is optional add on, but would suggest to save your money and eat someplace else.”

“We spent our 50th wedding anniversary at Crowne Plaza, Greenville,SC. We were met at check-in by a delightful gentleman named Leo. He was kind and engaging. He was excited for us that we had been married 50 years. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay, even offering us free breakfast. Later on he called us by name as we chatted with him in the lobby. Our room was nice though a little dated and dark. The bed was very comfortable. I am a shower snob. The shower was the best hotel shower I've ever used. The temperature and water pressure were excellent! We will definitely return if we are in the Greenville area again.”
“Our community bowling league recently enjoyed a delightful holiday party prior to our league bowling night. Kim (supervisor) and Kane(manager) were very helpful in our planning process. We met in advance to select items from the alley’s holiday party menu. They provided a delightfully decorated setup for our party, with a buffet dinner, desserts, and soft drinks. The party area was right behind the lanes where we bowled, so everything was very convenient. We look forward to another holiday celebration in 2026!”

The facility is always clean, the staff is friendly, and there’s really something for everyone - when my son was younger, this place was the BEST for birthday parties, and the sports programs are top-notch. We also love the fitness classes, there are activities for all ages. It’s one of those places that always feels very welcoming. We’re lucky to have it here.”

“As a gold member I was surprised there are no real benefits in staying here. No discounts on breakfast it’s like they do not recognize you as a gold member. I asked for a email receipt they said okay as I need one due to work then I had to call back a few hours later and remind them to send it. My point ms have not been added nor is my counted. I have stayed there a couple of times but I am sure this was the last.”

Surrounded by restaurants and things to do. 10-15 minutes from the Greenville Convention Center, Downtown Greenville, Bon Secours Wellness Arena, and many other attractions. I would recommend this place to any one looking for an affordable, clean, amazing place to stay. The breakfast was stupendous and I enjoyed the Southern additions to the breakfast.”
