“This place is packed with people. I had to drive around the parking lot for 5 minutes to find a place to park than walk a long way. They had what i needed and the people were nice.”
“Good store. Hard to find employees sometimes but when you do they are great help. Seriously lacking cashier's at the lumber section exit tho. I'm almost always in a big line with one cashier.”
“Thank you to the young man Gerald tonight who helped my boyfriend load up 21 80 pound bags of concrete. He was finished with his shift and walking out the door, he then asked if we needed any help. He proceeded to help us and then put up both of our carts ! Him and the young lady working were absolutely amazing. Truly went above and beyond!!”
“I'm updating an old review, as there have been positive changes here. That said ,If you go by the shelf price, you could be in for a terrible surprise. For equipment, feed, seed, tack, and other large supplies, the place is hard to beat. The garden center is great, most of the employees are awesome. They've ditched most of the Dollar General vibes they used to have, but navigating the store and item availability can still be a challenge. Many, many items that look alike or have different sizes are intermixed on the shelves and you need to mind what you're actually picking up. I'm finding I have about the best luck ordering online for store pickup. They are excelling in this area.”
“Hi I recently placed a in store order that is $1,623 , the service person that helped me said I could get pro status and discounts for being a pro. When she submitted for the pro status it was rejected. I was told the amount to be a pro is $1,500 so I bought a nail gun to make sure I was more than that amount. I spend a lot of money at Home Depot each year so I should qualify just from past purchases. Please explain why I was rejected. Thanks SteveMartin”
“They got everything and are convenient, most of the employees don't know much about anything. If you have a question, try to find an employee with a camo vest. These are vets, if they don't know, they will find out”
“I would like to give a shout out to an exceptional employee at the Lowe’s in Harbison in Columbia, SC. His name is Trey and he works in the garden center. He is ALWAYS helpful and seems to love working there. He is also very knowledgeable!!”
“If you’ve ever tackled a weekend project in the Columbia area, there’s a good chance your journey started, or ended, at Home Depot on Harbison Boulevard. This location has become a reliable anchor for homeowners, contractors, and ambitious DIYers navigating one of the Midlands’ busiest retail corridors.
The Harbison Home Depot sits in an area that has long been a hub of growth and commerce. What was once largely wooded land near the Broad River transformed in the late 20th century into one of Columbia’s most active shopping districts. In many ways, this store reflects that evolution: practical, well-established, and built to support a growing community that’s constantly fixing, building, and improving.
Inside, the store is spacious, clean, and well-organized for a box store of its size. Lumber, plumbing, electrical, and garden sections are clearly laid out, making it easy to move from idea to materials without wandering aimlessly. Inventory is typically strong, and the shelves stay well-stocked even during peak seasons, whether it’s hurricane prep, spring planting, or that sudden “I can finish this today” home repair.
What really elevates this Home Depot is the staff. Associates are approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely willing to help you solve problems, not just point down an aisle and disappear. Whether you’re figuring out the right size breaker, matching paint from a mystery sample, or debating between mulch options, there’s usually someone nearby who knows their stuff and doesn’t mind taking a minute to explain it.
The garden center is another highlight, especially for locals who know how quickly Midlands weather can swing. Plants are well cared for, seasonal selections rotate regularly, and it’s a solid stop for both serious landscapers and casual backyard gardeners.
Practical touches make the experience smoother: easy parking, efficient checkout, and a location that’s convenient to I-26 and surrounding neighborhoods. It’s the kind of store where you can run in for one item—and yes, occasionally leave with five—but still feel like the trip was productive.
In short, Home Depot Harbison does exactly what a great box store should do: provide the tools, materials, and guidance people need to keep homes and businesses moving forward. It’s dependable, well-run, and firmly rooted in the fabric of the Harbison community, just like the projects it helps bring to life.”
“I love going to Tractor Supply in Irmo, sc. The associates are always very friendly, always available to help, whatever your needs are in the store. They offer a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, plus The customers are also friendly. Help is always available if you need help loading your car with multiple bags of bird seed, or whatever.
They are a very laid back and welcoming store.”
