“I have used Charlestion Cleaners since they opened, probally more than 20 years now. They have always done a wonderfull job with cleaning & alterations. Never once have I had an issue! The owners are great & as well as the ladies working the front counter.”
“1/2 the price of others and they did a fantastic job cleaning. They were upfront about the service they could provide, he threw in an extra treatment for free (typically ~90$) because he had the equipment with him in the truck and thought it would help, and did a detailed walkthrough afterwards explaining what he did and why certain things wouldn’t come out. I didn’t even notice the small spots he mentioned but I appreciate the honesty. He also suggested other services when I asked him about non-carpet cleaning questions and he seemed very experienced and knowledgeable. Super friendly and flexible, I will 100% use them again in the future, it’s such an easy choice.”

“Great service! This was my first time taking my clothes to get dry cleaned and the service was phenomenal. They mentioned it would take a week to clean, and that's exactly how long it took, not a second longer.
I brought in a dress that was not in good shape with stains all along the front and back, and I received it looking brand new.
Definitely coming back here again!”
“Thankful to see this laundromat taken care of. My parents were one of the original owners in the early 2000s and I literally grew up here from the time I was 4 to my teenage years. I would come here after school and watch tv and play pool with some of the customers. I have a lot of fond memories of this place and I’m grateful to see new life and care for this laundromat.”
“The only cleaners I trust in Charleston. Top tier cleaning, professional and friendly service, and excellent turnaround times. Can’t beat the prices either. I’ll be a customer for life!”
“Incredible staff and laundry service. If you are in the Charleston area, this is an exceptional place. The drop off laundry service is also such a great experience. Highly recommend!!”
“First-time user... it was pretty clean. The only issue I ran into was that I came here due to it being card friendly.. When it came to dry clothes, it only took quarters. Luckily I had cash because usually I don't...
I am happy with it and will use again.”

“Clean facility, lots of options for payment and device needs; there's a bathroom and a sink and plenty of places to sit while you wait for your clothes. This is the nicest laundromat I've ever used. Highly recommend!”
“?Thank you to the very helpful, friendly, young lady who was able to machine wash an oversized fluffy blanket and to remove an overcoming perfume scent from a thrifted dress. I can finally use my warmest blanket again and wear my dress for the first time.?”
“These folks do a great job cheaper than everywhere else. They are also very nice and accommodating, as they come out to my handicapped mom's car to get her items from her and also return the items to her when they're finished. We love this place!”
“The Service is Helpful & very Congenial. If you have questions about removing certain stains, they help you. I like supporting Local Businesses. They treat their Patrons very well. Try them out.”

“Prices are very reasonable, the attendant is very nice and helpful. I definitely recommend it. I've been at MUSC for over a week, 2 hrs from home and it's not too far from the hospital.”
“Very surprised at age and how many machines still work. Coin operated, decent machines, priced right snack machines. Upkept restroom. Nice, Asian looking, employee at service stand. Launder drop off might be possible.”
“Oct 2025 Update: Okay, maybe I was a little too hasty in my first review. I didn’t give the business time to tweak things. As of today, I’m adding three more stars to my review. The prices aren’t too bad and the machines work just fine. We’re allowed to change our minds.
I am very disappointed that the quality of service has plummeted with newer machines and higher prices. After the sticker shock of new prices, a couple of $12 machines, I was reassured by the same dryer cost of 25 cents…that is until I actually used the new dryers and realized that it takes triple the cost to dry your clothes at triple the time. The washers take longer too. HOW are new machines worse than the old ones??? I have a laundry room at my apartment complex, but I bypassed it to come here because the machines were more efficient…until now. Two stars to split the difference between my previous 4-star rating and my new 0-star rating. Thank you Johns Island Coin Laundry for inspiring me to purchase my own set of machines. Sincerely. Congratulations for the renovations!”
“Although I love doing my laundry here I hate having to fight with the HappyNest workers. The HappyNest people will come here and take up 5 or 6 washers then 5 or 6 dryers to wash and dry laundry. I then have to compete to dry my one basket of laundry. I understand the HappyNest people are trying to make money but it’s unfair to basically do commercial laundry service in this facility.”
“I love it here, I love beverly's down the street for a closer relationship with people there but this place is open later and works better with my schedule. there are always machines available, they are very efficient. Slam packed on Sundays”
“Had a great experience with this dry cleaners. Local and convenient. It was my first time using them and I will certainly be back. It was an easy process, took a few days but I didn't need the clothes back right away. I received a text when they were ready and paid online. Simply just pulled up and she put the clothes in the car! Very happy with the service.Services: Clothes pressing”

“Sherie was absolutely wonderful and kind! She helped us so much . This was our first time visit and she made us feel right at home. The plants were stunning she told us all about them, which we thoroughly appreciated. We will definitely be back, and encourage anyone or everyone to take a break and visit The Washtub even if it’s just to meet this lovely lady! We will be back!”
