I had an unfortunate experience with Mather Brothers Moving Company, and I feel compelled to share my terrible encounter with them. As a military member, I had no choice but to rely on their services, but it turned out to be a grave mistake. To start, they displayed a lack of punctuality by arriving late, not just once but twice. This delay caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience during an already challenging time.To add to the list of issues, it was evident that the movers were not in a fit state to work. They reeked of marijuana and were undoubtedly under the influence while on the job. It's no wonder they displayed a shocking level of unprofessionalism, making careless mistakes and showing little regard for the importance of their work.On the packing day, they took advantage of the situation and decided to stretch a one-day job into two days. This was a blatant attempt to extract more money from the government by concocting some bogus excuse. It was clear they had no qualms about exploiting the system for their own gain. The packing process itself was nothing short of disastrous. They displayed an astonishing lack of organization and care, tossing household items into boxes with utter disregard for their proper placement. The result was a chaotic mess that even a child could have managed better. Opening those boxes at my new location was a disheartening experience as I discovered the haphazardness of their work.Adding insult to injury, they seemed more interested in indulging themselves than focusing on the task at hand. Blasting music, watching TV shows, and engaging in loud, personal conversations over the phone while packing my belongings was not only disrespectful but also unbecoming of a professional moving company. To make matters worse, I had to constantly supervise their work, pointing out numerous times that they had missed packing items. It was as if I was doing their job for them. As expected, some of my belongings ended up missing or damaged, further highlighting their incompetence and lack of care for their clients' property.Their rush to get me to sign a paper claiming I accounted for all inventory was absurd and downright infuriating. I couldn't possibly be present in every room at once, supervising their every move. This tactic was a clear attempt to avoid accountability for their sloppy work.As if their unprofessionalism and incompetence weren't enough, they also stooped to thievery. They brazenly stole my Navy-issued black backpack, and my TV wall mount, probably hoping I wouldn't notice. Fortunately, I had anticipated such behavior and gathered evidence to support my claim.I am giving them an opportunity to rectify their mistakes by returning my stolen item. However, based on my experience, I have no doubt that they will never receive another government contract again. Their actions have demonstrated a complete lack of integrity and respect for their customers, especially those who serve in the military. In conclusion, I strongly advise against using Mather Brothers Moving Company. They are unreliable, unprofessional, and have no qualms about exploiting their customers and the government. Save yourself the headache and choose a more reputable and trustworthy moving company for your relocation needs.I will keep updating my post as I uncover stolen items. They prefer the word missing.

his was a complete cluster from the start. I'm currently working on properly generating a review to leave for you, but let me start off.Best thing was the sales person coming on site to do a proper estimate. I thought this was excellent customer service, but after that it was all down hill when working with Wheaton's customer representatives. The day before the pick-up i get a rushed phone call and email from the sales person asking for additional monies as he didn't originally recognize the driver wouldn't be able to pull his rig into the parking area. Nothing in the area had changed, but he put the blame on the city for changing up the traffic patterns. This was a non-sense attempt to gain more money for the load, as nothing had changed from the day he gave the original estimate to the day of pick up. Never-the-less with time constraints the extra money for a shuttle, had to be added.Come moving day, the moving team (contractors) arrived and was some of the hardest working individuals I had ever seen. They were quick and efficient with the move. They were supposed to pack our box springs, mattresses, and tv's in boxes to protect them, but weren't given the materials to do so. They were quick on getting everything out and had to take it back to their truck that was located at the warehouse. The pickup date was on a Friday, with delivery being any day the following week. Come Monday i take off of work to go and help unload, when the driver gets there and tells me he wasn't able to bring the full load. Why is it the driver is telling me this, and not their customer service? Driver told me his weight was over? I asked how when Federal limits are 80,000 lbs for moving trucks... Never did get an answer, and never have gotten an answer from Wheaton. Instead i got an email saying my stuff weighted more than expected, with emails also saying we would be given a rebate as the overall load was less than expected. Which one is it Wheaton?!So now, I'm wondering where in the world is my stuff at, and Wheaton representatives in Ladson are not taking my calls. Finally the representative in Indianapolis returned my phone call to tell me this was the first she was hearing of it. Why isn't there any importance put on communication within the company, yet alone to the customers? So TWO WEEKS go by, before they are able to get another driver arranged to pick up the load on a Friday and deliver it to us the next week... And it turns out i find out on a Monday the driver didn't pick up the load. What in the world is going on here? So the administrative lady finally gets another truck in the area planned to pick it up that week on a Thursday with delivery scheduled for that Saturday. The driver gets there to pick it up, almost 3 weeks after it was supposed to had already been delivered, and the Mattresses and Box Springs are still just laying out in a dirty warehouse without being packaged. This is insane! My mattresses came back dirty/dusty, my box springs the same. He has them package them at the warehouse before he picks them up and makes the drive. When the driver gets to his delivery, it was one of the hardest working people I have ever met. Amazing work ethic and extremely polite and professional!Wheaton's best characteristic about their work is their Pick-Up and Delivery contractors. Nicest, ethical, and hardest working people. I believe their sales staff could certainly learn a thing or two. After this whole experience or inexperience from the sales personnel and the missed loads, When/If my wife and I ever decide to move again, we will NOT be hiring a Wheaton Company.

They do the bare minimum and lie about services.
