“We had our Sunday School class dinner here and it was beautiful. The parking was great and close by for an easy walk for the older members. There was plenty of room for food tables and people to sit and eat. We played bingo and had a great time. The owners were easy to work with and made this night of fellowship easy and wonderful. The pond is beautiful, bathrooms clean and easy to access, and the playground was so cute. Several families are interested in the tiny house they have for a vacation too. All around great place for a gathering. Can't wait to come back.”

“My daughter got married three weeks ago, and we had both the ceremony and reception at Larkin’s Sawmill — hands down the best decision we made!

I’ve helped coordinate four weddings over the years, and this was by far the least stressful experience I’ve ever had.

First off, the pricing is straightforward and very fair — no nickel-and-diming. You pick your food and your space, and they handle the rest. Tables, linens, glassware, plates, silverware, etc. — all included. Even gratuity is built in, which made everything feel seamless. Their attention to detail is the game-changer. Honestly, more than half of my planning checklist was covered after the very first meeting with our Larkin’s coordinator.

Our coordinator, Chloe, was amazing — so helpful, flexible, and accommodating, especially when working around our schedule for decorating. More than anything, she’s a great listener. I felt heard when I shared what we wanted for my daughter’s day, our budget, and all the little details that mattered. Both Chloe and Jen brought our vision to life while keeping everything within budget. Chloe also stayed in constant communication in the weeks after our planning session and answered what felt like a million messages (which definitely helped calm my planning anxiety ?).

The venue itself is beautiful. My daughter was married out in the field, which was just perfect, but I also loved knowing there was a solid indoor option if the weather didn’t cooperate. The coordinators and staff take the stress out of weather planning by already having a transition plan in place if things change suddenly, and best of all, they handle the transition if needed. The firepit area and indoor spaces are already set with string lights that create such a warm, inviting atmosphere — honestly, even if we brought zero decorations, Larkins set-up would’ve been enough. The field has a gorgeous rock and greenery backdrop, and the patio features a small rock waterfall with big windows that bring in beautiful natural light. The whole space gave our photographer plenty of inspo!

One personal moment that really stood out:
We were there early the morning of the wedding to decorate, completely focused and honestly running on empty. Chef Steven, Chef Curry, and their staff (who were up early cooking for another event) noticed and brought us out biscuits and gravy with fruit — completely unexpected and so appreciated. They are just so down to earth, the kind of people you'd want to hang out with. And can I just tell you how delicious the food at our reception was? I mean seriously!

At the reception, the staff took care of us like we were family -- and by the end of the night, I felt like Ms. Thelma really was family. She and the other wait staff made the experience so comfortable and warm. Because of them, I actually got to sit back and enjoy my daughter's special day.

From start to finish, Larkin’s delivered — amazing food, amazing people, and an experience that felt effortless on a day that could have easily been stressful.

“Lovely Sunday afternoon trip! Greeted by (possibility one of the owners) - super knowledgeable and gave us an overview of their four latest wines which helped us choose our flight (4 1oz pours and a 5oz of the one we liked the best).
Lovely outdoor area with live music- although could choose to be in the spacious indoor with cool air and lovely decor reflecting the founder folks of this winery!

Leslie took care of us for our visit! She walked us through the tasting, did not hurry us and, although new, was delightful, friendly, and super helpful!

I chose the Pinot for my final glass and walked away with a bottle of the blend which I reckon would be served best with a nice steak! Lovely emergent spot in SC. Worth the trip and at just over 5 years with vines aging, an encouraging wine landmark for wines to come! Bravo!

On the crochet scale it’s a good spot to chill and get a few rounds in! My fan worked a little overtime because it is SC the longest day of the year.. but the shade umbrellas and lovely patio next to boule (even with the little kid playing..) was delightful!”
