About DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront
DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront is currently undergoing extensive renovations, which has led to some mixed experiences for guests. While the location and ocean views from the balconies are highly praised, many reviewers expressed disappointment regarding the hotel’s current state. The registration area is temporarily relocated, and the lack of amenities such as a hot tub and on-site dining options was noted. Guests reported that the property feels more like a motel than a resort, with limited services and outdated room layouts, including inconvenient vanity placements outside of bathrooms. Despite these issues, some guests found their rooms to be clean and newly updated, with comfortable bedding. The surrounding area is quiet due to the off-season and construction, providing a peaceful stay for some. The front desk staff were described as friendly and helpful, although check-in processes were often confusing and slow. Access to the beach and a nearby pier is a plus, yet concerns about noise from other guests were common. Overall, while the resort holds potential for a pleasant stay once renovations are complete, many guests feel it currently does not meet the expectations associated with the Hilton brand, especially given the ongoing construction and limited amenities.
Great hotel on the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. Great amenities for the whole family to enjoy. Easy access to the beach and fishing pier.
