Palmetto Goodwill is a spacious and clean store in the Carolina Forest area offering great deals on pre-owned clothing, household items, and furniture. It is a relaxed place to shop where customers can find very good, like-new merchandise. The store accepts donations and sells items, with its mission noted as helping disabled people train for better jobs. Many find the staff to be helpful, friendly, and amazing, with student workers who make shoppers feel special. The clientele is good, and the store is known for having memorable visits and great sales. However, significant concerns have been raised about pricing policies, particularly for furniture. Company policy states that furniture receives a white tag with a date and is marked down half-price each subsequent day. At this location, customers report finding furniture with yellow price tickets that do not get marked down, and white tags predated with future dates, which prevents the required discount. This practice is described as very shady and inconsistent with other Goodwill locations, making some feel the company is ripping off customers. Additionally, critical feedback mentions poor backroom organization and concerns about employee efficiency during donation drop-offs, with calls for management to address these operational issues.
I don't know what it is with this store, shoes and me! We didn't make it down last year but in '24 got a great pair of Brooks trainers ( I somewhat of an Anglophile) this year Skechers slip ons, amazing thing is price, $7 each!! Overall I am really pleased with this store. The staff is wonderful. The only thing I would like to see is make sure things of the same type are shelved together rather than thrown onto a shelf indiscriminately.

Store was a little messy but I think it's hard to stay organized because people don't put things back in place. Checkout was very accommodating and friendly. They have a little bit of everything they just need wider spacing between the aisles so that you can get through.
