First, I'm going to start this by saying I shop every Goodwill in North and South Carolina. I pretty much well versed on their policies. Like if something doesn't have a price on it they're not supposed to sell it to you until it's priced , if it don't have it tag on it they're not supposed to price it at the register , policy says its to be returned to the back to priced then returned to the shelf. But what I'm going to talk about today is the furniture. When Furniture at all Goodwills is tagged, its put on the floor they put a price and date on it on a white tag. The price the next day is half price the next day is half price every day that it sits on the floor it's half price the next day. Now, more than one time have I been to the Carolina Forest one and seen dates that were either the next day or even up to two days ahead on those tags for the furniture. Tonight specifically and I took a picture of it, I was in there and they had something marked with a tag on the furniture that was dated 8/16 and thats tomorrow! Also , about the furniture, all furniture is supposed to be tagged with a white ticket, at that store they have yellow price tickets on furniture , so that it can't be marked down the next day. That isn't policy I don't believe. I wanted to purchase something today but it had tomorrow's date on the ticket. So even when I go back tomorrow to buy it, I still have to pay this price that it was originally marked ,even though it sit there a whole day and night until tomorrow. I would like for management to contact me about this because I understand that policies may have changed. But it doesn't change by individual locations. But not one single other Goodwill in the Carolinas have I ever seen a yellow ticket on anything that was furniture and none of the local Goodwills ever predate their Furniture tickets in order to not have to mark it down for half price the next day that makes the whole company look very very very shady and it makes people not want to go there or donate there. So what does so many people so good, and they say that they're doing good for people somebody's trying to rip somebody off somewhere and it's definitely the company ripping off the customers!

Alright, folks, let me spill the tea on the second-hand Palmetto Goodwill. Now, I ain't here to throw shade, but it seems like the management and assistance crew are working harder than the actual employees, if you catch my drift. Picture this: I'm dropping off my donations, and what do I see? The backroom is an absolute hot mess. There's this one dude lazily loading up his cart while the others are just shootin' the breeze like it's break time, ya feel me? And get this, it's not even a weekend—it's freakin' Thursday! Talk about stealing time and merch right under their noses. Someone needs to whip 'em into shape, ASAP!

I’m not the type of person to leave a review, but this cashier really irked me. This woman in front of me didn’t speak very good English and the cashier was very rude to her. The woman didn’t know the price of everything so she’d ask and the cashier would rudely point to it and had a very passive aggressive attitude like she hated her job. Every time the woman asked a question she became more irritated. As for someone works in hospitality her lack of patience and kindness bothered me, clearly not a job for her. If anyone was wondering she was an African American women with long dreads and a septum nose piercing, I feel like someone needs to retrain her on her poor customer service skills. Thank you.

I gave it 2 stars because of the employees. They do a great job for what they have to put up with.In my opinion it's s a waste of time to visit anymore. This Goodwill is having all of their valuable donations diverted to other stores or online. If they provided help to the needy I wouldn't mind but we all know where the money is going. You might as well go to the dollar store to get items because that's what's on the shelf these days, pitiful. There's no "goodwill" here just pure unadulterated greed.

I love the Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas goodwills! You can find the best things at great prices! Unfortunately today I went in and they had decided to change their prices on items! Comforters are now 9.99 compared to 5.99$! And I’m not sure if this is a all around price change or just the Carolina Forests location because I have seen differences in different locations! It’s disappointing that the one place I love to shop for item I need for home on a budget is now charging more for used items! I don’t buy clothes there anymore because I can buy the same things new at Walmart for almost the same price! But it was very busy today, and found a couple little things, 2 toys for my dog and a crab to display on the wall with some star fish I purchased their weeks ago! The price changes going on everywhere are killing our low income class between gas, groceries, and housing and now the thrift shops are jacking prices up so high we can’t afford to spend those few extra dollars on used items!

I have to say, there is an astounding employee named Daniel there! He was very polite and definitely seems to know what’s he’s doing for sure. All around good guy. He was able to help me find a job and was very knowledgeable. He really went above and beyond! Thanks again! If you go here for any needs beyond shopping and whatnot this is the guy to see!

Throws away products I asked for a discounted price on because it was broken. But not in useable condition. Expressed my interest in purchasing for a discounted price and then it was taken to the back to be thrown away. What a waste of resources. Thrift shopping is supposed to be a way to recycle not just throw aid in the trash. Uncalled for. Unprofessional.

Palmetto Goodwill is ok. Well organized, Easy to find items. Bought a nice. 4 ft.Targus tripod with levels for $8. A working Radio/Alarm Clock for $4 and a few other items. I've heard that Goodwill is a scam because the ones running it (higher ups) not the workers are taking all the profits but I say that as long as ppl in need or anyone else that can benefit from saving money on great items, then it's worth it.

I walked in the store and I noticed that things were unorganized: mixed clothing sizes and color. It would have taken me "forever" to find what I was looking for.

This place was extraordinary I was looking for a bathing suit in at Thanksgiving and could not find one anywhere walked right in and grab one it was even a nice one it's also had tags on it that just goes to show you don't never know what you going to get until you get it especially at Goodwill or second hand stores

The store is okay but there were changes in policies during COVID that I don’t like. The Senior Discount is now only One day a week. Before COVID it was Every Day! Now they have a Senior day and a Military Day for discounts. Before COVID customers got points per dollar for purchases. When you accumulated a certain amount of points you got a 25% off shopping trip.Do I still shop at Goodwill? Yes I do.
