“Gas pumps worked, hubby paid with a card then went inside to buy his lottery ticket with cash. They sell basic gas station stuff. There is always some traffic there. But not too bad. Lot is small but adequate”

“I like the place and come here quite often to get gas even if it does cost over $100 dollars anymore but the staff are very nice and helpful and the place is somewhere that you can quickly grab a snack or a drink also.”

“Friendliest and most personable quick stop shop in South Carolina! You can tell they truly care about their customers because they are their neighbors. Locally owned and family operated! They offer breakfast, lunch, and beer specials. Truth be told they got the best smothered chili dogs and bbq sandwiches around! Service with a smile, every time!”

“They have ethanol free gas!!! Only a few places in town have it!!! Very nice inside with a good selection of drinks and snacks. Haven't tried the food yet. It's nice to have a gas station in town that is not owned by someone in town to help keep the gas prices down in town!!!”

“I have stopped here two different times on my way home from work just to buy a diet coke. The first time the gentleman inside was very friendly...so the next visit...a lady walked in before me and held the door open (she worked there) and the same gentleman was working. And same as before the young man was just as friendly as before. Good service is hard to find but this store has it.”

“I live in NC but had been to Wagener to visit family. I've stopped here probably a hundred times for gas on my way back home, mostly when the Huddle House was attached.
Last Wednesday, I was heading back home and stopped by to get gas. Before I could get anything, the card slot clamped down on my card and wouldn't let go! I tried several times to remove it, to no avail. I was ticked off and kind of paranoid that I had to leave my card in while I went in to get help.
I was a bit frantic when I made it into the building. I waited for a couple of customers to finish checking out and then told the cashier what had happened. A lady names Deanne (or Deanna) saw how upset I was and came over right away to help with no delay. That she saw how upset I was and took action immediately made all the difference in the world! As we were walking out, she asked which pump I was at. I told her it was #8. She kind of made a face and said that sometimes pump 8 does weird things. She tugged lightly on my card and, when it didn't budge, pushed it forward and then pulled it right out! I could have hugged her! She was so nice and recognized my distress and that made all the difference!
I WILL be back, every time I visit my mom. I'll just stay away from pump #8!?”
