Vince and Jay deserve 5-stars and more. A nearby Hertz Location rented me a car that was clearly unsatisfactory. These two gentlemen took the time to understand my issue and used their problem solving skills to deliver a solution. This is the only reason why I will continue to do business with Hertz. Please have your nearby stores to job shadow with this location for proper customer service training.

Worst rental experience I’ve ever had, 0/5. Scammed and overcharged…Advised the rental agent that I’d be traveling to Massachusetts after booking the trip. It didn’t allow me to book it a one way on my phone, so I told the agent multiple times that I’d be going back to MA from SC, and he said no problem. I don’t recall him saying my rate would change upon drop off. However, he told me I would be charged $117 plus a refundable $200 deposit. Again, I told him I’d be going to mass form SC and this is the price I expected to pay after telling him this multiple times. Upon drop off, the rental charge was over $500. Some for superchargers, but the rest was for the rental increase.I called the SC location with the gentleman at the Attleboro location, and he said “We talked about this sir, your rate went up due to a one way” to which I replied “you said I’d be charged 117$, why not give me an accurate quote at the start of the rental so it wasn’t a surprise on drop off?” And he responded with “we talked about this, is there anything else I can help you with” so I hung up and returned the car. I initially went to extend a day, but after hearing about the increase we returned it, and had to Uber back home since we assumed we’d be extending the rental by a day.On top of the wonderful surprise increase that was not let known at the start of the rental, the car stunk like weed when I picked it up. Told the agent and he said don’t worry about it you won’t be charged. To add to the issues, the outside was filthy, so I had to get a car wash before utilizing the autopilot feature due to the computer telling me the cameras were too dirty for it to function properly. Also, it was low on battery. I received it at 40% so I had to charge it almost immediately before making any travel.I am new to electric vehicles, so I did not realize how much longer this trip would take. A 12hr drive was turned into an 18+ hour drive due to needing detours for superchargers. I wish the rental agent told me about this, my lack of knowledge around the electric cars and where charging stations were, I assumed it’d take around the same time as a gas vehicle since I thought there were chargers directly on my route. If he advised me that it may not be a great idea to drive an electric car across the east I wouldn’t have been as stressed and late getting back home.To top it off I haven’t heard anything after reaching out through the feedback via email.

Had a good experience here (contrary to what reviews seem to indicate).I showed up on time for my pickup, and would not have been in a rush if it weren’t for the 3-4 customers in front of me. Partner was at a national competitive event and needed me to get something to him (I flew in a day after he did).I informed the agent I was in a rush, and they said I could have the 2-door spark Chevy that was ready immediately. I said that’s totally fine even though I had reserved a car in a more expensive class.When I returned the vehicle, I let them know and they were more than accommodating in compensating me for the different vehicle.Thank you!

The car had not been cleaned out still had dental picks i hope were new but were laying in the center console. Their paperwork was in there. A parking pass was in the front window and gas was less than 3/4 full. I took pictures handed the counter person the papers on return and showed him the gas tank picture. He said I would get a discount and its been 2 wks now and no discount in on my card yet. This is the 2nd time the rental was wrong. I rented a cargo VAN in March and they tried to give me a full size uhall truck. After much yelling and refusal because I would not be able to drive something that big or pay the gas they send me off with a Plymouth van no where as big as the cargo van. I again did not get a discount for all the mess. Will never go back there again

The service was not polite or customer oriented. No one even spoke to me for several minutes when I walked in. One man never even put his newspaper down to look at me. They did not have a vehicle ready for me. They didn't even know if they had a vehicle to rent me. They finally offered me a choice of two different intermediate vehicles and did NOT provide me the full size vehicle I reserved and was charged for. They did NOT upgrade me despite all the nice vehicles on the lot, instead they gave 2 classes down and did not correct the billing. Charged for a full size but provided an intermediate. It's not like I am new to the Hertz. I've been a Five star member of for years.

Staff is courteous and professional.Business only accepts major card; no other options, which is a huge inconvenience.Arrived via AAA appointment; you can book but there aren't any highlighted disclaimers on payment.

Polite and friendly staff; despite only having two employees present to work the entire front end and back end of the business, they were still able to get me in a rental car and back to Burns Chevy within an hour. I highly recommend this location for your car rental needs.

Went to Hertz after their competitor was of NO help. I walked and spoke to Chris and he was extremely professional and willing to help me get a rental car while mine is in the shop being repaired. Thank you Chris!!

Unfortunately I had car problems with my personal vehicle.I was in need of a long term rental and need it as soon as possible.I had a very bad experience with Enterprise as you can read in a previous review.Fortunately this Hertz location is just down the street.I met Jeren Johnson who took care of me and provided a high level of customer service.

Made a reservation for 10:30 and the agents didn't see me until 11:25 . Very unprofessional location and disconnected from the value of customer service. I will not rent from Hertz again .

**UPDATE** 2.14.23- I cannot stress enough how terrible the customer service is with this company. Read their response below. CLEARLY it's automated and NO ONE actually read my complaint. Shameful. Went in without a reservation, waited 30 minutes and after they started helping people that came in after me I asked why and was told it was because I didn't have a reservation. You would think he would've told me when I first arrived instead of allowing me to stand there and be ignored.They also had plenty of cars. Jarren was EXTREMELY RUDE and should NOT be in customer service! Went 2 minutes down the street to Enterprise and they had me in and out in 10 minutes if that! I've only rented from Hertz 1 other time and chose to go back because my first experience wasn't bad and they have reasonable prices. NEVER AGAIN will I be a customer.

I called HERTZ on Monday and I was driving on Wednesday. Mr. Jeren was Amazing! He acknowledged me when I walked in. My car and paperwork was ready immediately. The best car rental service I've experienced. My new rental company!!!
