“Took in my 2014 Escalade for a fuel issue I knew needed extensive replacement. CB ran diagnostics and did an inspection of the entire vehicle which found other issues I am happy about as left alone, would have been far more cost in the future. They keep you updated extremely well and provide a detailed description with pictures and video of items that they find need fixed.Very thorough, clean work. Due to my vehicles age and typical plastic parts on vehicles over the past couple decades, two of my center caps broke during removal. Although no Fault of CB, the ordered 4 new ones and did not charge me for them. They didn’t have to do that but they did. The truck did need more than I thought but like I said, pictures and video prove the fact things were failing. Patrick did well with my initial shock and walked me through everything personally. Thanks Patrick. After thinking about things in reality, I’m very happy this is where I took the truck to be serviced as the issues don’t care about the economy and a reliable vehicle, with reliable repairs and warranty are far more important than a small hit to my wallet. I bought it used and drove it for a year with only fluid changes. It was time to make sure it was inspected for reliable and safety. Now it’s both and the work was done fast with communication every step of the way. Pricing was more than expected, but very fair. Honestly the warranty and service you get make my experience the best I’ve had in the area in the last 7 years of living here. Their shop is is the nicest shop you can visit with people who actually like their job and do it very well. This is where I’ll be going for things I can’t do myself, because CB does the work like it’s their vehicle their family drives. If you want a good car repair service, this is the place. What began as a frustrating car repair issue ultimately could have become a tragedy, and I genuinely believe the expertise and quick thinking of the team at Mavis in may have saved my family’s lives.

I had recently had a repair completed in Columbia at another national chain, for which I’ve been a “member” for 15 years…. While driving to Greenville, I immediately noticed a vibration in my vehicle, so I stopped at that company’s Greenville location. They identified what they believed to be the problem: “a missing fender clip” and sent me on my way.

Unfortunately, as I returned to Columbia, the situation became significantly worse. While leaving Greenville, I pulled over in Simpsonville, purely by necessity, on a Sunday afternoon, assuming most places would be closed, and called the original company to arrange a tow back to their Columbia location.

While waiting for the tow, I decided to drive the short distance to Mavis Tires for a second opinion.

I am incredibly thankful that I did.

Almost immediately, one of their experts identified the real problem: my lug nuts were so loose that they could literally be turned by fingers alone. My wheels were dangerously close to coming off, and I was preparing to drive another 100 miles on the interstate with my family….

The previous company had missed this issue on multiple occasions. At multiple locations.

The technician at Mavis immediately took action, secured the wheels, and even offered to let me record video of the repair so I would have documentation of what had happened. His knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to help without taking advantage of a frightening situation meant more to me than I can adequately express.

What truly amazed me was that they did not try to turn this into an expensive service-fee “opportunity”. They simply recognized a dangerous situation, fixed it, and helped get us safely back on the road. He even followed up with me by text afterward.

Because of this experience, I am seriously considering driving the nearly 100 miles from Columbia to Simpsonville for future service, because finding people you can genuinely trust with your vehicle and your family’s safety is priceless.
