“Hi, I have a 1979 AMC Jeep CJ7. I’ve owned her for 44 years. For the last three years I was overseas and placed her in storage. Upon returning some of the gaskets ,oil pan, main bearing seals, had gone bad. I called a half dozen places in the Greenville and surrounding area, no one would do the job due to age. I usually do my own work but due to health issues I can no longer work on her. A respected friend told me to go to Chans transmissions. So glad I followed his advice. They needed the vehicle a few days and they gladly agreed to keep her stored inside during the overnight stays. I had found one other place in Pickens that works only on jeeps, their work failed after two days when I ultimately found Chans. Allison in the office was great to deal with and made sure I had all of the information about my truck. The repair cost was significant but I was comfortable with the expertise of the mechanics and the quality of their work. After the repair was completed, one of the parts failed as it was defective from the factory. J & J got my truck back in immediately and replaced the part at no additional cost. I feel they did a great job, and treated me like a long time customer, even though it was my first time using their shop.”

Another business wanted to charge just for the discovery of the problem. All Trans quoted a price about $800 less than the other shop. Needed a transmission fluid change for my 2016 Acura RDX.

I had not gotten a quote from the dealership, however I estimate that the charge would've been $200-400. I understand they have higher labor costs, and they're definitely not ripping me off. However, money is a bit tight right now. Hemley did it for $140+$9 card fee. Janice is super knowledgable and professional. As far as the results of the work, my car which was experiecing minor judder/shudder. Is shifting perfectly now, it feels like my CRV w/CVT now. So that tells me the change was done perfectly. I will be taking my Odyssey to get its transmission fluid changed, and my CRV when the time comes. Also with any major repairs/maintenance items that are required.

I was in and out in under 30 minutes, which is excellent for a transmission fluid change. Waiting and reception area was extremely clean, coffee and beverages were provided as well, along with entertainment.”
