“This place was delightful. We are not art people and I literally said to my husband as we approached the door, “we don’t belong in there.” However, no sooner than the words left my lips, I saw a sign posted right outside the door. It read “All Are Welcome.” We proceeded inside and were greeted with stunning artwork and a lovely environment in which to enjoy it. It was classy and tidy, with a flair of fun and whimsical. Highly recommend!”

“Great little gallery. There is a good variety of different types of art. Keep is mind this is not your typical gallery with lots of expensive pieces (although there are a couple and are deserving of those prices). Most of the art here is lower quality which result in lower prices.”

I really enjoyed seeing the pieces by Marissa Vogl and Stanley Bielen in person. Be sure to go upstairs because there are so many more pieces of art, from other artists, on display.”
“Very nice gallery with many local and artists from the rest of the US. We had the gallery to ourselves with a very helpful gallery curator. They have all types of art media: metal sculpture, photography, paintings, lithographs, and small mixed media pieces. These pieces are quite nice, but of course not inexpensive. Great to browse especially if the weather is not cooperative or you're trying to get out of the crowds. It is in the upscale mall attached to the Charleston Place Hotel very close top FIG and Doar Brothers.”

“Chic and newly renovated, this Inn within Wild Dunes Resort feels like a modern beach retreat for the well-traveled guest. I loved the beautiful bar and lounge areas and organic/herbal scents from the spa permeated the elevator lobby making the whole place feel upscale. Loved:The comfy beds, pool and resort views, fabulous showers with strong water pressure for washing the sand away at the end of a beach day, large balcony, and freezing AC for when you have to get out of the heat. The Nespresso machine made for fabulous morning coffee in your room too. The gym is well equipped and offers nice palm views.Liked:The rooftop bar had decent cocktails and views. The rooms were somewhat quiet but at night you could still hear a lot of hallway noise. Pool area was pretty and fun for kids and families but tricky to snag a chair at peak hours. Could've gone better:Housekeeping only cleaned our room once in 3 days/nights. I found this odd, although maybe they're short staffed or trying to conserve water/energy? Valet was a disaster the entire time from the minute we arrived to the day we left. They seem slow, confused, and lacking organization/systems/leadership. Text for your car well in advance of when you're wanting to use it. I wish there were ceramic mugs in room for coffee rather than paper/disposable. Some rooms in the inn have a large stucco wall blocking their view from the balcony while sitting down (the wall is 4'5" high). Be sure to request a room that has a full balcony view - not behind this wall. (Room 321 for example is not optimal). The resort fees are hefty so be sure to ask about them before booking.All in all, this hotel is wonderful and I would definitely stay here again and plan on it. Wild Dunes is huge but this Inn puts you at the center of it all. Perfect for families with small children, friend groups, and romantic weekends! Thanks, Sweetgrass Inn, for a fun summer getaway. Great variety of artwork and it was so nice chatting with Kayla and Julia - they were truly awesome to work with!We found a few pieces we loved and they did an amazing job packaging/shipping them safely to us in MN.
