“The RLS Art Gallery was on my bucket list of places to see in Charleston. We stopped by and we're greeted by Madeleine, the Gallery Director, who was so welcoming. It was a first experience in an art gallery for my kids and they all loved it (the swing was their favorite spot). I liked the way the gallery is designed to make you feel welcomed. It showcases a wide range of talented contemporary artists. The icing on the cake was getting a free print to bring back home.”
“Island Expressions is absolutely full of such wonderful items. It is my go to place when looking for a special gift for someone as I know it will always have something that is perfect. In addition to the store, the framing that Dyan and her team provides is top notch. Wonderful store and we are so lucky to have it on Daniel Island!”
“Best art gallery in Charleston. Rick Reinert himself is a master oil painter. His own masterpieces are available, along with works of some of the top artists from across the the US, China, Russia and elsewhere. It’s a must see if you are in Charleston.”
“Paul's local artwork is an inspiration. He focuses on several Charleston settings, historical sites, and culture in the lowcountry. His paintings make a great gift for family or friends.”
“Looking for something different in downtown art scene? Revealed is a treasure filled with rooms showcasing gorgeous art, jewelry, pottery, prints, and more it’s cool Modern and fresh”
“I bring my granddaughter here to do her hand and foot prints and the helpers turn it into a masterpiece with their artwork. They are so kind and attentive. Don’t miss this haven for creativity. Love it!”
“My favorite gallery in all of Charleston! They have such amazing pieces that fits all budgets. I especially love how they have lots of local artists, but also some not from the area that are up and coming. Always have to stop by when I am in town!”
“This has been the best gallery I’ve ever been to!! My mom and I stopped in when it started raining and it was the best surprise to see all of the beautiful pieces! One of the owners, Lyn, was at the front desk and was so lovely and pleasant to talk with! The prints were such a good price and all of the artwork were originals and absolutely stunning!! Please please go support this incredible place!!”
“Charleston Crafts small place with local artist work at a reasonable price point compared to other artist works On society stop in and check out the work friendly and interesting local artist I have bought several works of art Between meeting st and King on Society st The artist will be waiting with a southern smile and a hello”
“Great little gallery. There is a good variety of different types of art. Keep is mind this is not your typical gallery with lots of expensive pieces (although there are a couple and are deserving of those prices). Most of the art here is lower quality which result in lower prices.”
“Extraordinary group of artists whose talents and generosity to the community have made them ambasssdors of good in Mount Pleasant. This is a gifted collective of diverse artists who have captured the Lowcountry and beyond with thoughtfulness and careIf you are in Mount Pleasant, visit the Perspective Gallery!!”
“Wonderful gallery! Active collection of intresting art and artist. New openings each month. Very well vetted. Also includes pieces by Charleston Renaissance artists.”
“Great customer service, and framing was completed on time. They do have the capability and knowledge to correctly and securely frame deep and heavy items such as public safety badges and patches.”
“Chic and newly renovated, this Inn within Wild Dunes Resort feels like a modern beach retreat for the well-traveled guest. I loved the beautiful bar and lounge areas and organic/herbal scents from the spa permeated the elevator lobby making the whole place feel upscale. Loved:The comfy beds, pool and resort views, fabulous showers with strong water pressure for washing the sand away at the end of a beach day, large balcony, and freezing AC for when you have to get out of the heat. The Nespresso machine made for fabulous morning coffee in your room too. The gym is well equipped and offers nice palm views.Liked:The rooftop bar had decent cocktails and views. The rooms were somewhat quiet but at night you could still hear a lot of hallway noise. Pool area was pretty and fun for kids and families but tricky to snag a chair at peak hours. Could've gone better:Housekeeping only cleaned our room once in 3 days/nights. I found this odd, although maybe they're short staffed or trying to conserve water/energy? Valet was a disaster the entire time from the minute we arrived to the day we left. They seem slow, confused, and lacking organization/systems/leadership. Text for your car well in advance of when you're wanting to use it. I wish there were ceramic mugs in room for coffee rather than paper/disposable. Some rooms in the inn have a large stucco wall blocking their view from the balcony while sitting down (the wall is 4'5" high). Be sure to request a room that has a full balcony view - not behind this wall. (Room 321 for example is not optimal). The resort fees are hefty so be sure to ask about them before booking. All in all, this hotel is wonderful and I would definitely stay here again and plan on it. Wild Dunes is huge but this Inn puts you at the center of it all. Perfect for families with small children, friend groups, and romantic weekends! Thanks, Sweetgrass Inn, for a fun summer getaway. See you next time!”
“Sportsman’s Gallery Ltd was a unique stop for us. Micah and I admired the fine art and sporting pieces on display. The gallery offered a distinctive blend of art that captivated us. Art lovers in Charleston looking for something different will appreciate this gallery.”

“Really nice, mostly abstract paintings with some classic style paintings smattered about. Kate was an exceptional hostess while I was in the gallery! A thoroughly enjoyable visit. Prices were affordable for good, local talent. Definitely worth a visit!”
“The Miller Gallery was by far our favorite gallery when we visited Charleston. Great variety of artwork and it was so nice chatting with Kayla and Julia - they were truly awesome to work with!We found a few pieces we loved and they did an amazing job packaging/shipping them safely to us in MN. We will definitely be back!”
“I highly recommend this gallery. We fell in love with some art in the window late on a Sunday and then we scheduled a time to view. The owner Chase was lovely and knowledgeable— we bought 3 pieces. They have art from artists around the world. It’s a standout in a city that has more art galleries per square mile than any other city in the US.
I recommend calling to schedule an appointment since they have two locations.”
“I’m a huge fan of the art at Paul Silva’s Gallery at the Charleston City Market. His mixed media style really stands out and captures the Lowcountry so beautifully. He has a great selection of sizes—from small pieces to large statement prints—so there’s something for every space and budget. I highly recommend checking out his shop!”
“Great local gallery! Fantastic selection of original works and smaller prints of the same pieces. The owner was incredibly kind and was more than happy to either let us peruse on our own or chat us up as we saw fit.”

“We recently purchased an absolutely beautiful sofa from Michael Mitchell, and we could not be more thrilled. First, our salesperson, Lilly, was very knowledgeable, attentive and helpful when we first came in to select our sofa. After we ordered it, she regularly kept us updated, and the sofa arrived even sooner than expected. We are now faithful customers! Many thanks to Michael Mitchell and Lilly!!”
“I visited the Sandpiper gallery this month on a vacation from California and had no intention of purchasing a piece of artwork...until I saw this beautiful carved mermaid. I was charmed and then saw the artist’s name, Jo Watson and my daughter's last name is Watson and my two granddaughter's names begin with a J. So, it was destiny that I adopt her and name her JoJo after the artist and my granddaughters. She arrived today and the packing was unbelievable; she was wrapped like an Egyptian mummy inside a Styrofoam box inside of a cardboard box with insulation. Thank you, Kathleen, for helping with the purchase at the wonderful gallery.”
