A few months ago I stopped into a new jewelry store near my house. I have a pretty detailed engagement ring wedding band combo so I like to periodically get it cleaned by a jeweler. I walked in and asked the guy behind the counter if he wouldn't mind dropping my ring into the cleaner. I gave him my ring, he inspected it and then said, "That would be $98". Stunned I asked him, "to just clean the ring?" He explained that he doesn't just clean the ring, he would polish it, clean it, etc. all could be done in a day. Shocked again, I commented, "I don't need that, I just need it dropped in your cleaner". He looked at me and stated very indignantly, "I am sorry, but I don't work for FREE". Stunned, I asked for my ring back and promptly left the store. I have never had a jewelry store charge to have any piece of jewelry cleaned. EVER. Doesn't this guy realize that any person who walks into their establishment is a potential customer?? Lots of times while having my ring cleaned, I would browse the store and find something to buy! This guy has lost the concept of customer service. That said, I DO NOT RECOMMEND Cane Bay Jewelers. Sorry, took the drive down to rt 17 and went to Polly's and got my ring cleaned for free.... Polly's is a jeweler with very friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend them for sure!

For 9yrs I held onto a precious Art Deco diamond family ring, going back 5 generations. I was waiting to find the right person to trust to leave my ring with and weld it back together. Little did I know it needed a lot more work. I visited Cane Bay Jewelers to see if they were able to repair the ring and was impressed by the hospitality, knowledge and passion Jed had for Art Deco rings. He was very thorough in his examination, spent a lot of time with us talking about our options for restoration. Seeing his passion, excitement and finding out he was a perfectionist too, I knew our ring was in great hands. After, I was blown away with the restoration Jed had done for us; It was like a new ring and secure enough to pass on to my daughter. He had also cleaned other items and I was equally impressed. I’m forever grateful for his work on my family ring.Not only is Jed skilled in his craftsmanship, both he and Nikki have created a very welcoming environment. After visiting a few time and observing customer interactions, it was like your part of a family. I felt blessed to had traveled across the world to find this very special jewelers; true serendipity. Cane Bay Jewelers has another loyal customer.

I dont normally do a review but definitely had to this time. I usually read bad reviews first then on to the good reviews. These guys ARE a five star shop. I brought them an engagement ring that was in need of desperate repair and wanted my bride to have it on her finger for our 35th anniversary which was only a few days away. The mount needed to be replaced and they worked overtime to make it happen. The shop is clean and very well organized with a welcoming atmosphere where i felt like their most important customer , not like the big chain stores. Will be going there again for any future purchases or repairs.

I can’t say enough good things! After coming for a band, Jed informed me my engagement ring (from Polly’s) stone was loose, dirty, and the gold was oxidized which it should not have been after only a week!! We got rid of my old one and he was able to do a basically identical one for hundreds of dollars less!! It was such a difference! He was amazing! So informational and was able to explain everything! I was able to get my engagement so quickly and my band on short notice as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I won’t go anywhere else for jewelry!

It was closing time and the owner stayed open and waited for my arrival to help with changing a watch band out! Customer service is over the top here! Both were very personable and it was an absolute joy to meet them! Can’t thank you enough for staying open to help me! I’ll be back!

No admittance. Doors locked. Very unwelcoming. Must "ring bell to be let in". No thanks. Tons of other jewelry stores with bright, open doors happy to meet your needs. Won't ever come back.

I rate Cane Bay Jewelers five stars, if there were more stars to give I would! My wedding and engagement rings needed a lot of work as it had been several years of wear and tear. Jed ended up designing a new set with the diamonds from my original engagement ring and I couldn’t be happier! Jed spent an exorbitant amount of time talking with me and working with what styles I liked and didn’t like. His workmanship is amazing and most important of all he’s always honest. What he said is what he did! Customer service can sometimes get lost but not with Jed! He makes everyone feel welcome and really treats his costumers like family! It’s been a year now and I’m still in love with my rings! I pop in every few months to get them cleaned and each time feel so welcomed!

We came to Cane Bay Jeweler after a few terrible interactions with the engagement ring my husband bought from Diamonds Direct. He originally purchased my ring from them, but after two diamonds falling out, poor craftsmanship, then putting a lesser quality diamond in my band then what was there and telling me I lied about it (visual proof from multiple parties) we were done with that company. Jed took the time to explain every detail of my ring, my band, my diamonds. He explored what I did for a living (I am a nurse, so I can be rough on jewelry washing hands, gloves etc). He then too what I had and replicated it into a ring that was more durable and would withstand my aggressive career. I was honestly terrified and to tears walking out of his store when I handed my beloved ring over. Your engagement ring is such a special, valuable, emotional piece of jewelry and to give it to someone with pure faith they will return it and you will still love it is a lot of faith and hope.Fast forward to a few weeks later and we were finished. My husband and I walked into Cane Bay Jeweler terrified. I was so scared I would hate it, or it wouldn’t be the ring I had or envisioned. His two associates (for the life of me I cannot remember their names and I feel awful for not remembering!) all stood there with Jed to present me my new ring and my wedding band. To say I was speechless was an understatement. It brought tears to my eyes. He made my engagement ring go from something I adored to something I loved and could treasure the rest of my life knowing it would withstand life. I still look at my left hand and smile, gleam, glisten, and glow. He did what he promised and then some. He took my old rose gold engagement ring and made it into a solid band so I could still wear the original band my husband had picked out. I love it all, he did such an amazing job. We used him to make my husband’s wedding band and we will forever use Jed for our jewelry needs. He took an emotional nightmare into something so positive, uplifting, and full of just as much love for a piece of jewelry as I have. His two associated share the same passion as Jed, they were equally just as wonderful and could tell the joy they shared with me when I had my initial reaction to my “new” ring. Thank you Jed.And to the gentleman who rated poorly of this business for showing up after they closed, shame on you and your entitlement.

I'm new down here and the idea of re-setting my engagement ring was a little terrifying without my old family jeweler... Hannah is such a doll and made sure the entire process was so smooth. she was a pleasure to work with! helped with choosing the right setting for my stone and with designing exactly what I envisioned! Jed allowed me to stay and watch the entire process and he was just awesome! definitely an exceptional jeweler, but more importantly a kind, honest, fun, easy going, trustworthy, and wonderful human! this is definitely my new family jeweler!

My engagement ring needed to be repaired. I’m new to the state and looked around at other jewelers and there wasn’t anyone that either took an interest in the work or would allow me to sit w/ them while they did the work. Jed at Cane Bay Jewelers gave me a complete run down of what needed to be done to repair my ring and he also worked w/ me to allow me to sit w/ him while he did the work. Hannah, who also works w/ Jed is super knowledgeable and helpful. They both really love what they do and they take the time to make you feel comfortable. I love my ring more now than before. I highly recommend Cane Bay Jewelers. I’ve now found my forever repair guy!!

Jed the jeweler is a gem!I managed to bend a prong on my engagement ring. Jed not only had it promptly repaired, but he was also ready with a proposed maintenance plan and preventative measures to minimize the effects of daily wearing.Jed and his entire team are always welcoming and knowledgeable, and are the true jewels of CBJ!
