First Citizens is THE WORST bank. There are tons of hidden fees and getting help on the phone takes an act of Congress. DO NOT bank here or get any loans through this bank

Worst trash banking company they will rob you blind with overdraft fees that you are not supposed to get and lie to you about changes they do not make. DO NOT BANK HERE

We popped in here because they had an ATM in a remarkably convenient location for one of my kids' school. This branch is (it turns out) also in a very convenient location. Tons of parking and it's shockingly quiet... No competition with other guests. They happen to have a pretty cool product for minors. Thanks to that I popped in when I happened to need another annoyingly difficult to acquire service. Walked out happy. Told my wife about it, and we immediately went over and she is now in process of moving some of her services from WF.Hers the thing: this is a SUMMERVILLE branch. Everyone is ultra nice, it's very sleepy inside. Open M-F only. If they're at lunch, just walk around the corner for some ice cream or something.I had a bad time trying to work something over the phone with their Central line, but when I went into the beach Jake hooked me right up.

It's okay. They get the job done I suppose. I would not say they have lending policies that are particularly reasonable, and of course, it's a bank, so they pay a minimal amount of money to use your money to make money (and pay their lawyers and marketers).

The staff at this bank is wonderful, but I would NOT recommend using this bank at all. I'm 24, I've paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars to this bank for misinformation and once again I'm paying well over $100 because employees opted me in and out of things I did not give permission to do so. All the bank could tell me is "there's nothing I can tell you but pay it" How is it fair to me, I had the money in the bank for charges and yet I'm still paying over draft fees for charges that had money to pay for them. After this Saturday I will no longer have this bank and the day they are sued for doing these things I will jump on that train too. Wells Fargo was sued for doing this and they will too one day.
