“Still not sure why Hammock's only has a 4.8 ⭐ review. Maybe it's the atmosphere and definitely can't be his nollage, experience or pricing. The owner Jonny has over 45 year's experience rebuilding transmission's and he actually does the work himself. Not one of them shops with decades of experience and has the new guy with 3 months working on it. You won't find yourself at a multi million dollar 10 thousand foot shop with the big dollar pricing and the owner hanging around with his feet up in the back while the new under paid employees working. You will get Jonny himself ready to help you for a smile or a hell of a deal with your transmission issues. If you do read this all the way threw and had a chance to do business with Hammock's leave a review. I'm sure he can't see these reviews on his Flip Phone lol, but deserves the recognition and dedication helping others!!”

“I can’t say enough good things about this shop. We are out of towners and 30 minutes out from Charleston my check engine light started flashing. My husband checked for a mechanic nearby and Edwards had the best reviews. I’m super skeptical of shops as I have been burned by places before. May I just say, as soon as we showed up we were greeted and we felt comfortable immediately. They are good, genuine guys! Unfortunately, the van seemed to be in bad shape and best case scenario it was a $1200 fix, worst case, the engine was shot. Knowing we were on vacation, the owner asked his mechanic to come in an hour early to start working on it. This is where I’m most impressed… instead of lying to get the most money out of us (because we are clueless with this stuff)… they were able to fix the van and for almost half the cost they initially quoted us for. THANK YOU for an honest shop, that cares more for their customers and their integrity than making more money! If we were locals- they would have customers for life!!”

I brought my 1982 Ford f100 their with several problems electrical and mechanical. Kenny and his team figured out each and every problem. I had to be patient the truck was unsafe to drive and undependable. Took time at the end I am very happy to have her back on the road safe and reliable. Repairs can not be rushed or you end up back on a wrecker. Been their done that.

“I had an appt for 9:30 to get an alignment on my classic car. Not many repair shops mess with these because they can be challenging I arrived at 9:20 and they were ready to start. Mechanics worked tirelessly to get the car tracking correctly and took their time to do it correctly. The entire team on Trolley Rd was great from the desk guys to the wrench turners. “Just wanted to say that I wish I met Paul before I brought my van to aamco in Summerville I had a new transmission put in last year and had nothing but problems this is the 2nd transmission that went bad I only have 5000 miles on the transmission and paid almost 4000 grand now my 2 nd transmission is shifting hard again I was told the noise I'm hearing when it shifts from 1st to 2nd it was my rear differential going bad well I put a new rear in and same problem I contacted aamco and they said they would put a new one again but my point is y would They use the same vendor for another rebuilt transmission after 2 of them are bad Paul is a very well known transmission Guy and very credible I'm calling aamco corporate Monday morning and demanding My full refund so I can take it to a real shop that would be a&p transmission then I can rest assure my van will be done right if I don't get refund I will be seeking a lawyer on this matter like I said I'm so sorry I didn't meet Paul before I took my van to aamco very nice guy and honest everyone in Summerville SC knows this man and not One bad thing was said about him now that's the way to run a business sincerely yours George Guenther”
