“First and foremost I want to thank God but this organization they have truly saved me from homelessness I am a 4 and a half year cancer-free breast cancer Overcomer who is still being treated now for it as a result my house went to a medical forbearance and got behind 25,000 they gave me a 3-month trial basis to stay here and make mortgage payments at the rate that I got when I bought the house if I was able to successfully make those three months payments and they would modify the loan let me keep my mortgage payment as it was when I bought the house and preserve my interest rate as well. In addition they would take back payments and put them back into the loan by extending it. I live here but I'm from Massachusetts I have no family here no one to help me it has been so stressful but what this organization did to help me was amazing they help me make the final payment sold the modification can take place and I won't end up homeless if I wasn't going to be able to make the last payment I would they would have started foreclosure processes and I have nowhere to go with two cats disorganization is amazing when I'm back on my feet you better believe I'm making a donation thank you for all you do your great work what a difference you're making in people's lives in the community”

“I was so heartbroken after the loss of my FurSon after 16 years together. So much guilt and sadness I thought I wouldn’t make it. I legit wanted my life to end. I contacted so many places that took my money and time and didn’t help me with finding a canine companion. I’m very shy and isolated so I needed a pup to match my needs but also one that challenged me. I needed a reason to get out of bed and my depression. They found Harlow for me. I drove 4 hours to meet her and she too was shy. We are two months in together and I thought we wouldn’t be a great fit for a the first few weeks but I’m following the 3-3-3 rule and it’s working. Harlow has not only given me new life but confidence and we have led each other to a new happy existence. She’s my other best friend now. She gets along beautifully now with my kitty. We gave each other a chance and I can’t imagine life without her. I can’t wait for her to be comfortable to invite another pup into our home for her to have a play mate. I found my calling which is to rescue animals that need love and safety because I know how it feels to need love and safety.
I recommend Saving Sumter Strays because they won’t leave you hanging. They’ll give you the space you need but won’t make you feel stuck. I will definitely work with them again of if I can.”
