“My friend referred me to this place, and it was my very first experience with CrossFit. The energy, atmosphere, and people were absolutely amazing! Everyone was so welcoming and motivating, which made me feel comfortable right away. The coaches were supportive and helped me through the workout step by step. I definitely recommend this gym to anyone thinking about trying CrossFit, and I’ll definitely be coming back myself!”

“As a former F45 studio owner, I’ve seen a lot of facilities and coaching standards, and F45 Sumter genuinely impressed me. The studio was exceptionally clean compared to many gyms I’ve trained at, the equipment felt new and very well maintained, and the shower/changeroom amenities were excellent. There’s also heaps of free parking around the studio and booking through the F45 app was simple.
The owner coached the sessions we attended and was incredibly personable, even remembering details about our normal training routines after our first class. The programming was well structured and scalable, so everyone could push at their own level. The music matched the workout tempo really well, and the fans and air conditioning kept the studio cool throughout the session. The members were welcoming and supportive, and the classes never felt cliquey or intimidating. Great studio with a great community feel.”
“Eric provides the perfect mix of motivation and expertise. Personable, encouraging, he knows exactly how to push you to your limits in the best way possible. Every session leaves me stronger and more confident. His private gym is very clean and always organized. Daily he changes things up. Highly recommend!”

“I’ve been a member here for 3 years and I liked the old management better. No shame to new management because they are great but my one pet peeve is that the vending machine is never stocked. Under old management we always had a hydration selection. From energy drinks to protein drinks and electrolytes or sports drinks and then plain water. Now if I forget to bring my preworkout or energy drinks, I’m in a compromised position unless I leave and drive down to the nearest convenience store to get a drink. They do have a coffee machine but honestly? Who drinks hot coffee when they’re working out?”

“The Y is a place away from home that allows you to regenerate your body your mind and soul. The atmosphere is about kindness and people that care about each other. My favorite part of the one is the thing that I have a personal spa where I can relax, relay and release in a steamy steam room and a hot sauna, followed by a flowing whirlpool not to mention the Olympic warm and cold pool that is available for swimming aerobics or just hanging out socializing with friends. The most important part of the “Y” are the employees . They are si helpful and concern about your health and well-being.”

“Good gym can be crowded if you go in the mornings and afternoon hours. Lunch hours not so bad but they have a lot of machines so you can find something unless it's one particular machine you're looking for then you can run into waiting around but overall good gym. They just reopened the smoothie bar too.”
“Best local gym in the area! I often travel for work and whenever I am in the Sumter SC. I head to The Free Weight Gym! Has the old school bodybuilding/powerlifter vibe which makes it a great atmosphere to train in! The owner is very responsive and open to suggestions. 100% recommend!”
