I had an unfortunate accident, and called the next day to see if I could come get personal items from the car. They were closed, however the owner offered to meet me and let me in to get what I needed. If I only had to have one guy tow a car for me, it would be these guys.”

“A real review from a real small-fleet business owner.
My tractor broke down Sunday morning while completing an Amazon delivery. The transmission would not stay in gear and was throwing fault codes. After waiting most of the day for roadside assistance, technicians worked on the truck into Sunday evening. I eventually managed to limp the tractor about four miles from the Amazon facility to a repair shop at roughly 15 MPH.
By late Sunday night, metallic fragments had been discovered around the clutch/flywheel area, and it was clear this was becoming a major repair. After receiving a repair estimate that was considerably higher than I expected, I spent Monday morning calling around for parts pricing, labor rates, warranty information, and alternative repair options. Once I put the entire picture together, I decided the smartest business decision was to tow the tractor elsewhere.
Finding a heavy-duty towing company turned into an adventure of its own. Quotes were all over the place, some businesses advertising 24/7 service weren’t actually available, and the overall experience with several companies left a lot to be desired. When your truck is down, you’re already losing revenue by the hour. The last thing a fleet owner needs is games, unexplained markups, or someone trying to capitalize on the situation.
Then I found Hawkins Towing.
From the first call, the difference was obvious. I explained exactly what was going on and was given a straightforward, reasonable cash price as well as a fair card price, with the service fee explained beforehand. No surprises. No pressure. I told them I needed time to confirm everything with the receiving repair shop before dispatching the wrecker. They simply gave me a quote number and told me to call back when I was ready.
That is how professional service is supposed to work.
Once everything was confirmed, I called back and they dispatched Taylor, who arrived in the Madagascar-themed Kenworth heavy wrecker pictured here.
Taylor was outstanding. Knowledgeable, professional, easy to deal with, and an excellent heavy-wrecker operator. He handled my tractor carefully from hookup through transport. Watching him maneuver that combination through town and then into a VERY tight parking lot made it obvious that this guy knows exactly what he’s doing. Calm, precise, and never careless with my equipment.
And apparently, don’t call Taylor “sir” — he works for a living. 😂
As a trucking company owner, I pay attention to businesses that understand that fair pricing and quality service create repeat customers. Hawkins Towing earned my business because they treated a bad situation like professionals instead of treating a stranded truck owner like an opportunity.
