Loved the tea garden. As a tea lover, I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history of the garden and tea growing and manufacturing process. It’s also crazy that this is the only tea garden/plantation in the U.S. Definitely plan on paying for the trolley to see the gerunds and get more info that the factory visit alone. Great value for the price. You can also walk through the gardens, which make for fantastic photos on a sunny day. BE SURE TO RESERVE YOUR UBER / BOOK TRANSPORTATION BEFOREHAND. The tea factory is located out in the middle of nowhere. My Uber drivers were both native to South Carolina/the Charleston area and had no idea there was a tea garden out here. After 5 failed attempts to order an Uber, I got lucky because my Uber driver liked driving long distances. Definitely make the effort for the Tea Garden. It’s popular to pair this outing with the Vineyard and the Angel Oak tree. I didn’t go to the vineyard. The Angel oak tree is cool, but definitely passable.

Don't miss this stop on your travels through Charleston. We booked our Trolley Tour tickets online for a specific time. No waiting and the Trolley Driver made the tour so fun with stories, wit, and delivery! She is a GEM! Enjoyed learning about tea and the gift shop with free samples is exciting and refreshing! Inside gift shop is factory tour (free). It is a beautiful setting, informative and great fun.

We enjoyed the trolley tour as well as visiting the store. Our tour guide was AWESOME! My biggest disappointment was with ONE of the cashiers behind the registers who was extremely rude unwilling to help, never smiled once. Customer service is definitely NOT her thing...Thank goodness for the other cashiers who made the experience pleasant.

If you know a minimum about tea & always wanted to know more take the time to visit this place. Interesting history & tea processing explained. Endless cups of tea, hot or iced & information to enlighten! Trolly ride around the active farm fields is the only way to see it all. No walking about in the fields on your own allowed as it's an active, working farm. Trolly is worth doing. Enjoyed the ride & the driver was thorough, personable & truly seemed to enjoy sharing his time with us. No question was too large or too small. Gift shop is delightful. Did I say there's endless cups of tea?!!

The Charleston Tea Garden (Plantation) in South Carolina. This is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL plantation. The trolley costs $ and no dogs allowed on it so we didn't ride them but dogs are allowed on the grounds but not image the shop. Parking is FREE, admission is FREE, lots of hot tea and cold tea samples (full cups) inside are FREE, and there is a little self guided tour that's FREE with video and you can see through large windows the factory where they make the Charleston Teas. The gift shop is where the tea tasting is and how you enter the free tour and lots of cool things to buy in there. This is a PERFECT place to go to if you're looking for FREE stuff to do in/around Charleston, SC.

Such a quiet and relaxing area. We stop in every time we visit Charleston to pick up loose leaf tea. They have different hit and cold teas to sample while visiting. We enjoy sitting outside in one of the ricking chairs, sipping tea just relaxing. They do offer a tour of the plantation which is very informative as well.

Wow!! What a wonderful time we had on our field trip to the Charleston Tea Garden! Jessica started our experience by making it the easiest field trip I've ever planned in 35+ years of teaching. Not only was she friendly, but was available, patient, and cheerful answering all of our questions! The walk through the factory was interesting, and you sure don't want to miss the trolley tour!! Our guide, Andi, was the best! Keeping the attention of 45 Kindergarten-7th graders for 45 minutes is challenging, but she never missed a beat! She not only knows her history, but made it super fun for us to learn! Several of the students shared that this was their favorite field trip ever!Thank you, Charleston Tea Garden, for an amazing visit! We will be back!!

This was a very informative tour and our trolley driver was great! Very informative and passionate about the plantation. The gift shop could use some brighter lights. It's cute and they have a lot of stuff, but some things are hard to read due to lack of light. The tea is good. A different taste than what I'm used to (Numi black breakfast tea), but still very good.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Charleston. We went in the winter time and didn’t experience a wait time or crowds. The free hot tea samples were lovely on a chilly day. They also had cold tea samples. The people in the shop and the trolley tour guide were super friendly and really made the experience enjoyable. Learned a lot about tea and how it is made.
