She took us to look at two units and was very friendly. The units were nice and I love how they are inside. They even have carts to help with moving. Upon deciding she broke down every charge. “I was helping my sister move her furniture and stuff into storage. This was our experience:
Kim, the property manager was very personable! She was also upbeat and very knowledgeable about the property.
Upon entering the office, I was most impressed by the cleanliness and how well the office area was organized. I was even more amazed at how clean the entire building and strange unit was.
Last but not least, I know Kim pays close attention to security details! Prior to meeting Kim, I had gone into the unit to measure and see if my personal lock “shackle” would fit. I clumsily locked the pad lock without sliding the crossbar into the door rail, therefore the door was not locked. I had misplaced the key and returned 2 hours later. As I walked into the office, and introduced myself, Kim said, “I just called your sister to let her know that the unit was not properly locked!” I was very surprised that she knew that!!! Kim then explained that they check the building and locks several times each day.”

“Had an issue with our lock being broken, and was fixed fairly quickly. Little hard with calls going to a call center, but the woman who called me back was very polite and very apologetic and made it right quickly!”

“I gave a five star to Extra Space Storage. Now that the company has changed to Smart Stop Self Storage without notice of any type I am not real happy. Last month went to the unit had 2 locks on it. Called no you have never been late so that must not have been your unit. Went over next day lock moved to unit beside ours. Got a call today saying 5 days late and to avoid a 20% late fee pay today. Extra Space called on 4th if not paid on 3rd or sent text message. I did forget to pay and am thankful they called. I tried to set up account to pay on Smart Stop but said last name or email was wrong. Called paid over phone. Confirmation was so long 15 numbers and was said so fast had to listen too three times to make sure I had it right. Hope this is not going to be the way the place is handled going forward. Hope i can pay on line and not the phone ever again. And that service is as good.”
“If you are looking for a climate controlled storage facility, public storage on farm lake road is the place for you. The facility is very clean and the staff are amazing and nice. They fix every problem you may have in a timely manor and very friendly about it. Shout-out to Marcie in the front desk for being very friendly. 10/10 would recommend this facility.”
“Very knowledgeable and personable. Looked at my container and it was delivered the next day. Shop local you will not be harassed and bombarded with call and text messages. If there is any problem after your purchase they will make it right, and they can help you with any additional equipment you might need. If you are looking at containers give them a call.”
“This place is great! I have my RV in covered storage and also a storage unit. The covered storage is fantastic and very reasonably priced. It has power at each stall which helps when cleaning or doing maintenance. Highly recommend!”

“From the time you guys took over i have had nothing but a good experience with this facility. Dennis is by far one of the best workers you guys have . “We have had a storage unit at this location for some time now and have been pleased with the maintenance and security of the facility. We recently needed to get a larger storage unit for some additional household items we needed to store. Randy had one available close to our old unit. He was able to accomplish the transfer in the system over the phone rather quickly. He also assisted us with gaining access when we arrived and were having difficulty initially with our phone application and the new unit. Great service.”
“I’ve rented from here twice. The first time was excellent.
The second time, recently, had some minor issues. I specifically wanted conditioned storage. The initial unit I was assigned to was in a part of the building that had a broken HVAC unit. I had to call several people to finally get transferred to a conditioned unit, and I had to pay extra.
I then needed to get a second unit to temporarily store things for a month. At first, it was fine. When I went back two weeks later, the whole wing of the second unit had a very powerful cigarette smoke odor. I went back three days later and the odor was still there.
Bottom line, check the units before you commit to one.”
