My wife and I had been happy with our home, auto, & motorcycle insurance carriers that we’d had for the last 2 years, but we decided to shop around when it came time for our policies to renew this Spring. This was primarily due to the lackadaisical replies that I received from our existing agent in response to my inquiries about any reductions or credits for future home insurance premiums, in consideration of a new roof we had put on our home in the middle of the current term (there was no related claim, just old age). Additionally, I had told my agent that I felt we should be paying less for our auto premiums due to our ages, credit scores, and lack of claims/losses, etc. Based on his replies, I didn’t feel that he was really willing to expend any effort on my behalf. So, I started looking for a new agent, and potentially new carriers too. That’s when I found The Livingston Insurance Agency.
All insurance agents are not the same! Livingston Insurance Agency had more than 200 5-Star reviews online, so I thought, “ Well, that’s a good start.” I called to make an appointment with an agent, and my call was cheerfully and professionally answered by Brooke, who scheduled an appointment for my wife and me to meet with Rebekah. We came prepared with all of our written questions, and our existing policies in hand. Brooke greeted us politely and cheerfully upon our arrival. We met with Rebekah for about an hour, during which time she listened to our concerns and questions, and asked her own questions so that she could research options with several different carriers, in order to best meet our insurance needs. She was professional, cordial, courteous, and enthusiastic in her interaction with us. She let us know that she’d be back in touch with us in a few days with some options for our review. We left her agency feeling like we had probably just met our new insurance agent.
All insurance agents are not the same! Rebekah contacted me about 3 days later with multiple options from 3 carriers. As it turned out, we ended up renewing with our existing home & auto carrier, but wait for it… at a 16.5% premium savings! AND with more than double the liability coverages! AND with an umbrella policy! AND without raising our deductibles! Obviously, we have a new insurance agent, because… All insurance agents are not the same!
By the way, I had also gotten home & auto quotes from several captive agents, as well as other independent agents, and none could match The Livingston Insurance Agency.
